The 5 stars in my last review of this pub drop to 3. The Fox and Hounds has lots of excellent features. It serves Old Rosie cider, has a garden with views over the sea to Whitby, has a charming interior which seems barely changed since the 1950's, and is a very pleasant walk along the lane from the bus stop. However all that is spoiled by inflicting loud music upon customers even in the garden. The staff are extremely friendly, the prices are decent, and it was a perfect spot for a quiet pint (shandy, I was driving).
We will definitely be stopping by again. Next time we will...
