I was given a voucher for afternoon tea for my birthday, which I used with my mum yesterday.

The food was lovely and very fresh. The staff were very attentive and polite.

The only thing that let the experience down was the lack of drinks. We both had one small pot of tea each and had to pay for additional tea. I was given a small jug of hot water, which wasn’t really any good as I needed a t-bag. Everywhere else I have ever had afternoon tea, you always get free refills or at least a large t-pot.

Great little coffee shop inside the nursery. It does get busy at times. Then it's really slow to order, as whoever is on the till has to put certain foods on the tray, cake, etc., which holds the queue up. It does seem very unorganized. I don't know why one person doesn't man the till and one arrange food, etc. They don't use gloves to serve food. Just dive into crisp bags with bare hands, which are served on the side of the plate. But it is a nice pleasant...
