In the very, very best possible way a 'proper' pub and I imagine we'll return regularly. We went in for a Sunday roast and found plenty of parking, a welcoming atmosphere (all the staff were very friendly and helpful), a really first rate Sunday roast (nothing soggy or microwavey here), and most importantly, lashings of excellent gravy. Inside there were several taxidermy features, vegans may not be keen, and friendly patrons sat at the bar making conversation with us and each other while drinking their drinks. Despite the crowd at the bar not needing to be served, the staff were quick to notice us though and we were never left waiting.
They were serving Thai food while there, had the Pad Thai whilst my friends had small plates, the quantity to cost ratio was definitely in my favour as I spent less and left full, whilst they fought over the last spring roll.
