We ordered something simple to eat. Cyclists that arrived after us had their breakfast before us. No table numbers nearly lost our poached egg on toast to a cyclist who arrived after us despite it coming iut with my food. Loud moaning from her that we pinched her food. Despite us ordereing before them. My toast totally burnt and uneatable. Can only assume kitchen too busy cooking for all the cyclists to care about too bits of toast. I am still astounded that a kitchen sent it out so burnt and expected someone to eat it I did try and it nearly broke my teeth. Would rather put the butter on my self instead it was already buttered. We recently had the delight of having our Christmas meal here at the George and Dragon. (For the second year running).
The food was excellent (George’s festive menu), wine list superb, everyone had a great time, of course as usual the service was mega and the staff all brilliant!
Throughout the year George (The Landlord) always puts on a great menu, great events and most importantly a great local atmosphere.
We’d be lost as a community without the pub, we’re incredibly lucky to have such a great place to eat, drink and socialise.
Thanks for all the hard work guys, it’s much appropriated.

From my recollection three friends came in and one decided, perhaps as a joke, to take a dish from the pub despite protests from the bar staff and proceeded to take it outside. When the landlady asked for it back one of the other friends took umbrage and started an argument denying all knowledge of his friend's actions.
