The Good Bean Priors Hall Park — Restaurant in England

I’m writing to express my disappointment following my recent visit to the Good Bean. After three years of frequenting your establishment, I was quite saddened by what transpired during my last visit.

I waited over 40 minutes for food that never arrived. Despite being reassured three times that our order was coming next, we watched as others who arrived after us received their food before we did. This was particularly frustrating, especially after being promised that our food was next.

After visiting the kitchen twice and still not receiving our order, I decided it was time to leave. When I expressed this the second timeI was told, “that’s up to you.” Not only was this response disappointing, but I also left without being offered a refund for the food that never arrived.

Am I wrong for expecting a refund under these circumstances? I don’t believe so, as I didn’t receive the service I paid for. I hope that by sharing this experience, it can lead to improvements in how similar situations are handled in the future.

We took away an afternoon tea for a family get-together. Our family has vegetarians, nut allergies and generally fussy eaters. To Bridget, none of this was a problem.

A selection of sandwiches - fillings of our choice on superb bread - everybody commented. Savouries were delicious. One of the best sausage rolls I have eaten in a while plus a caramelised onion quiche. Scones with clotted cream, jam and strawberries were perfect.

Our 'no nuts' feast was completed with a lemon drizzle cake augmented with a few raspberries and a coffee and walnut sponge.

As Bridget pointed out, we had plenty of food for our number.

Took my little boy here at the weekend a few weeks ago to try the pancakes that are so famously raved about. I was NOT disappointed !! They were amazing especially for the price you pay you definitely get your money's worth !! We chose chocolate Nutella and strawberries, they were delicious 😋 🤤. Obviously my son just HAD to share them with me as he had such a huge portion 🤣😍. Will definitely come again for pancakes 🥞.
