Booked G&T afternoon tea for 3 to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, I included these details when I made the online booking. Our order was taken promptly but I was shocked when a tablet was presented to my mother showing the the total cost and asking for payment in advance. If advance payment is necessary then I would have happily paid it online or on arrival. Presenting an electronic bill to the guest, particularly on a special occasion is rude, embarrassing and unprofessional. We received our G&T within 10 minutes quickly followed by 3 pots of tea however, after another 40 minutes wait I had to ask if our food would be much longer! It was nice enough when it arrived, the presentation was as shown on the website, the quality however was very average. My request for the now cooled tea to be replaced with hot was treated dismissively with an offhand comment about top ups being included in the price! I would add that there were only about 4 small tables seated while we were waiting, others nearby were also disgruntled about the slow service despite lots of staff gathered at the kitchen end of the restaurant. It’s a lovely location but our visit was marred by very slow service and what I consider to be an unnecessarily rude procedure regarding payment....

Seated on arrival with no problems. 12.45pm Dog bowls of water by the door. Drinks order was taken quickly but the waitress told us we would need to wait 5 minutes to order food. 1pm, we ordered and then waited for over an hour for our food. When we chased, staff apologised but still we waited. 2pm, food began to arrive. Caesar salad didn't have anchovies despite them being on the menu. Chicken skewers arrived without the flat bread. Club Sandwich arrived almost 10 minutes after the first of the four meals was brought to our table. It arrived with no mayo or butter on the bread and so was dry. Two portions of sweet potato fries didn't arrive with any of the other food, and not until 5 minutes after we reminded the waitress they were in the order. They weren't very crispy and were...

We've been here a few times and service, if you're having coffee is really good. However, this time we decided to have brunch and there were several issues. The first is that we were not checked in as arriving which meant we are blacklisted by Open Table. It took 30 minutes for our order to arrive. I'd ordered poached eggs with my breakfast meal and fried eggs arrived (these were replaced). My wife had ordered eggs royal and the muffin was hard and the poached eggs were not runny at all, they were effectively boiled eggs. The staff are very polite and helpful but the overall impression is not good on this occasion. I'm sure we will try again as the experience for coffee and cake is always good. Maybe it was just an off day as the restaurant is...

The restaurant is pretty and servers are helpful but the food is not great. Decided to go to Grange for breakfast after looking at positive reviews and great location. When we entered the place the servers greeted us with smile and offered us a table. We were walk ins so were happy to get table on sat morning so quickly. The servers were friendly and asked us about our food and satisfaction at place which was quite nice. We were group of friends and we ordered quiet a lot of food. Most of our food was cold including eggs and sausages. Tomatoes were raw and food lacked seasoning overall. We did not felt the food was freshly prepared. Having said that, Grange ice coffee is to die for.

Beautiful location on that lovely warm weekend in October. We sat outside by the lovely English garden terrace. We ordered quickly. The venue warrants a better restaurant experience and menu. The quality of the food is disappointing (4th below par visit). Its more like a cafe. Its often busy so maybe we hold a minority view point. For consistency, menu, service and standards there are much better options not too far away. Sorry for the bad review. :o/
