Amazing staff, local pub it seems although the staff and locals all know each other, dog friendly is always a plus, let me get to the fooood I had no starter but I did have a rump steak it was a medium rare cook and it was as good as I could have hoped, the chips were well they are more like roast potoatos. They are not traditional chips but they were still gorgeous all in all no complaints and if I’m not complains then it must be good would reccomend 10/10 for prices and service the staff were friendly and were over run and overworked and despite this they still managed to serve us perfectly

The staff were lovely and polite but we were waiting a while to order. A bit disappointed and underwhelmed after reading the reviews online but it may have been what I ordered. My partner had the pork Sunday dinner and he said it was tasty there just wasn't enough of it. I ordered the pesto and red onion cheesy macaroni, which was a large portion size but I couldn't really taste the pesto and it was pretty bland. A shame really as we were really looking forward to it.

Oh my what a luckly find. My husband notice it once we had our adventure in darlby forest. We were all hungry and damp. And was wellcome into this cozy pub. Poppy our cockapoo was given her bowl and treat and wellcome by the landlord. Oh and her own menu full of doggy treats and dishes. The starters were yummy, but the main course was so scrummy home made chips lovely home made pie. Everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend ⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed in Thornton for a week, but after our first visit to The Grapes on the Saturday for a meal on my Birthday, we made sure we visited the next day for a Sunday Roast and then on the Thursday the day before we went home. The first visit I had pie of the day Turkey, cranberry and stuffing with mash, veg and gravy, my partner had Venison burger. Deserts were Key Lime Pie, with Lemon Sorbet and Smarties Cheesecake with Ice Cream. A lovely meal, we couldn't fault it.

Sunday Roast was honestly the best roast I've had in a pub, I had Turkey, my partner had Beef and our dog Paddy was very happy with the meat he was given too 🐾 Deserts were Sticky Toffee pudding with Ice Cream and Waffle again with Ice Cream.

Our last visit we both had Chicken Burgers as had seen others eating them, but sadly we were too full for a desert this time ! Again a lovely meal.

We were made to feel very welcome, regulars were very friendly too, couldn't get a more dog friendly pub. Wish we didn't live 7 hours away, although our waistlines are probably grateful 😁

Make sure you visit for great, tasty food and lovely atmosphere. No photos of our food as too busy eating it .......

Next time we'll stay in Ebberston, so we can be nearer ! Thanks to all at The Grapes, apologies it's taken 2 weeks to...

Tonight we went on here for my birthday. We arrived earlier than expected as we were told we needed to go earlier to get food out of the way by 6.30. As bingo was expected. Therefore we arrived at 4.45 as no precise time was given. Other than close of kitchen. On arrival We were shoved into a drinking part of the establishment where our table was reserved for 2. We decided to ignore this and believed they would accommodate us. They waitress soon obliged in seeking the table after a fair few glances amongst said staff and a rather unwelcomed atmosphere. Let me tell you right now. Due to this atmosphere we received we didn’t want to stay but felt obliged to due to the local connections we had and the fact it was my birthday and would be precious time spent with family. Wow!! Not a chance. The bar staff/ landlord and locals seemed to want to make it vocalised that we were not welcome and they had been inconvenienced by us. What ensued after was nothing short of bullying, and damn right intimidation. Made me feel so Ill I had a panic attack at the table and had to leave due to been perimenopausal and aware of how warm I was. I do not want to write anymore as It has shook me to the core what we...

Scarboroughs hidden gem .....The Grapes Inn Ebberston..A pub with a winning formula !!..from start to finish , well worthy of a 5* review ...Huge car park , a great welcome from all the staff , nothing is too much trouble ! Massive Bar !..The guiness is 100% spot on & the best in the entire area by FAR..Top quality meals every time (faultless)..the prices are also the best in the area... The Landlord as ran pubs in Ireland & is a guiness drinker himself , he definetly knows his stuff ...Its the best pub on the pickering rd by far, it puts others in the area to shame ! , so glad we called in there 4mths ago, never looked back since discovering The Grapes Inn@Ebberston ...Comfort,Quality Meals, well affordable & Staff that are on the Ball..A Proper Pub...You wont be disappointed !!...can't fault it...
