The Great Doddington Club — Restaurant in England

The club recently hosted the reception after my mother's funeral. We met several different staff in three planning visits prior to the event and all were extremely hospitable and helpful. Although the reception room is open to the public club room, we did not need to close the partition as all club members were respectful - we wouldn't have known there was anyone else there! There are stunning views over the Nene Valley from the reception room's large picture window, so we set up the tables to give the maximum number of guests that view. We hired white table cloths and flower posy vases were available for the tables which we didn't need, as we had our own It was easy to connect our laptop to the projector screen to show photos, as demonstrated by staff. It was trickier to connect to the sound system - the devices didn't instantly recognise each other, so we'd recommend at least one trial a few days before your event. Recently visited The Great Doddington Club. My first visit. Easy to find and ample parking. Drinks were reasonably priced. Only disappointment was the draught soft drinks. The barman swooshed the drink around the glass as he poured it from the pump/trigger, this gave the impression the carbonated drink was lively, but infact it was indeed very flat. Great venue - good size and great location. Spectacular views over the valley and nice terrace. Large well stocked bar, and the catering was excellent.... very tasty and stylishly presented buffet of sandwiches, savoury nibbles, cakes and fresh baked scones in generous amounts.
