We visited The Griffin Inn at New Year for the tasting menu which was incredible. The food was amazing with interesting combinations and great quality ingredients, I would recommend to anyone!! The paired wines where a great choice, though my only comment is it would have been good to have them avaliable to order another glass of as some were so very nice we wanted another☺️! It was a great evening all round with friendly staff, wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere.

A typical English pub nestled in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. A select daily menu with a well priced senior citizens 3 course choice but lots of specials on the boards. Food was decent and the vegetables were freshly cooked and crunchy. Service was passable. Tied it once and ticked a box but I will provably venture elsewhere next time.

We went here for some much needed sustenance after a heavy night prior lol and they were really friendly and accommodating, and the food was delish! Would recommend- although be mindful of the pretty small car park! And they can't deviate from the sunday menu

Very disappointed with our meal tonight. Service wasn't great being asked 4 times within 4 minutes of sitting down if we are ready to order plus asked about drinks when already ordered those! The ale offered then turned out to not actually be on plus being told meals missing off the menu before and after ordering so having to change what we wanted. Nearly leaving at one point as told the childrens menu will be same price as adults but then eventually another waitress told us they do actually offer childrens fish and chips etc. Children's pizza was microwaved so soft and chewy. My partners salmon on skewers and mediterranean vegtables was embarrassing with only 3 chunks of salmon and a few veg served on a massive pile of plain white rice not the flavoured rice advertised! Veg under cooked and very hard. The only nice thing about the whole meal was the pint of doombar and the children's chips. Even the garlic bread was cheap little slices that weren't cooked overally well, really not what you would expect when the meals were £14.95 each. When I questioned my partners meal with them they knocked 4 pound off and said they gave us garlic bread free too but when I noticed the garlic bread wasn't even on the original receipt anyway I felt the waitresses embarrassment and just wanted to leave gutted we had spent £50 on what should of been a treat but turned out to be rubbish, we left feeling pretty upset we had stopped there. There didn't seem to be anyone in charge of confident enough that I could approach to discuss this further...

Scrumptious...Absolutely Scrumptious. The food, service, staff and venue, everything was just outstanding. All the dishes were so tasty. My Fruits der mer was to die for Crevettes(King prawns in shells), lobster, (white bait) (i had salmon and cream cheese on bread as they didn't have white bait) and fish goujons/scampi. The crevettes were the best that I have ever had anywhere. Compliments to the chefs as there were 2 tonight. To top the meal of the staff were so kind, helpful and just lovely. My husband is a paraplegic and EMILY booked us in during the week, she helped by allowing me to bring in the wheelchair and see if he would be able to sit under a table and asked me where in the restaurant we would like to be seated and when we arrived on the 2nd of August, they had already organised the table with chair removed for him and a clear access to it, GEMMA bent over backwards to make my wedding anniversary cocktail x 2 and KEELEY served us and she was faultless. Explaining everything clearly especially when there was only 1 serving of Peach Bellini Meringue Roulade. So I could finish my meal in style. My husband had the billingsgate fish and chips followed by the Apple and cinnamon crumble. GRIFFIN INN AT PITSFORD, you made our 6th wedding anniversary so memorable. THANK YOU ALL Disabled parking and access right by entrance was available luckily...

Not impressed by the quality of the food, very disappointed with the overall experience. Where do I start…rock hard veg, chewy roast potatoes or being told as whilst being seated that we have until 1:50pm to eat up and leave as they need the table, even after we’d BOOKED a week prior for that table.

We booked here as the reviews were so good, but they must be written by others who have never ever had a roast dinner before or are people who can’t cook because ANYONE could have done better than what was served on Sunday.

I understand the staff are busy, but don’t tell us that we need to be up and out ASAP then leave us when we’re ready to pay the bill and the head Waitress/floor manager fails to mention that we had to pay at the bar.

Also whilst on the subject of the floor manager/head waitress, when I asked about the two choices of cuts of beef she had no clue FULL STOP. She had no knowledge of the food they were trying to serve. Simple solution she could’ve said give me a moment I’ll ask the chef, just very lacking in customer service unfortunately. To top off this was NOT a cheap meal.

All in all, not great was very disappointed. Wouldn’t return anytime soon, especially...
