I was impressed by this one. Nice friendly pub and looked to be very popular. Popped in on the off chance they might have a table for sunday lunch and the food was great. I usually don’t enjoy sunday carvery type dinners at pubs but this roast was good. Homemade yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes and a nice selection of cauliflower cheese, swede, cabbage, carrots and broccoli to share between the three of us. You could choose between pork, beef, chicken and lamb too. The puddings were lovely, although my son nicked a majority of the chocolate cake and custard! I would have taken a photo if I hadn’t been so engrossed in eating every mouthful available. Dog friendly too I should add and parking just to the side of the pub. I’d visit again if...

Myself, My Husband and our three children came to The Hewas Inn this evening for dinner and I just had to leave a review. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We were approached at our table by who we think was the owner, who was ever so friendly and even noticed my husbands drink was empty so asked if he wanted another. Now the food, was amazing! We cannot fault a single bit of it. Our son told the lady to tell the chef it was a 100/100! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sadly we live about 5 and a half hours away but next time we come to Cornwall we will definitely make sure to visit again. Thank you to all the staff for such a warm, welcoming and delicious dinner. We 100% recommend. Very happy. Charlotte...

Absolutely Fantastic service! Went to the venue for the in laws 30th wedding an anniversary, staff were absolutely fantastic, welcoming, loving and very caring when in the venue! Food was absolutely brilliant, portion size was a little too much for me as I was tying to match the father in law, however, the quality of the meat, and the overall dishes everyone had, we would strongly recommend to anyone visiting the area! Will definitely be returning during the stay as I personally do not think you will get better service anywhere else! Thankyou so much to the owners and staff for the hospitality and service...

We ate twice here during our week long holiday. The Landlord squeezed us in on the Friday we arrived and we're glad he did. The food was delicious. The penang curry (vegan) was excellent. I had been craving lasagne all week so a vegetarian one on the menu hit the spot. Very generous portions. No room for pud on 1st visit. Nice range of beers and cider and the staff and Landlord were very welcoming. Second visit we left room for dessert: vegan chocolate cake, and a white choc and raspberry roulade. Gorgeous! I would advise booking ahead if possible, and I'd imagine it's essential during high Summer and on any Sunday.

Popped in for a meal with the family, really had a wonderful time! I had the vegan penang curry (due to allergies) and whilst it was lovely, I found it mostly tasted of lemongrass, but not much else. I also had the vegan chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing, couldn't even tell it was vegan! Will definitely come back in the future to try other items on the menu ❤️

Lots of options on the menu, including vegetarian/ vegan ones. Nice and clean and cosy inside with 'proper old pub' vibes. Only one thing I'd say is the chips could do with being cooked a bit longer, a bit too pale and squishy for our liking. The homemade pie was yummy though 👍Nice bar with local ciders and beers. Dog friendly.
