The Horseshoes Inn — Restaurant in England

Since my last review the pub has changed hands and i am not aware that i can support this review at the moment.

Good service . Nice staff and good food in pleasant surrounds. We wanted for nothing more. First class . Went to Horseshes 22/2/23 making this our favourite pub. Had fish,chips and mushy peas. This was the best fish i've ever had served to me. We recommended . My wife had steak and can honestly state the same 14/8/23 Had a chicken sizzler with chilli and garlic sauce, as an optional to the barbecue sauce. With chips included. The dish was stunning in flavour. I had extra garlic and 🌶 chili. Best meal I've tasted in years and worth the travel to taste the food. Great staff. Dogs welcome in bar seated area. On a recent trip to Northumberland recently my husband and I stopped in for a drink and meal. We had been here back in 2018 when we stayed in a cottage nearby for Xmas. We were recognised by Mark the landlord as soon as we walked in! Amazing, just like the friendliness, drinks, food and service from this great family. Even the locals chat and make you feel welcome. That Xmas in 2018, because they weren't open on Xmas Day, they kindly offered us table and chairs to use in the cottage for our Xmas dinner, which we didn't need but they also gave us some festive crackers! We stayed in a small cottage just across the road from the Horseshoes inn whilst on our holiday and during our stay we visited the Horseshoes inn for meals on 3 occasions, on each occasion we were throughly impressed. The staff were all very friendly and polite, the service was excellent. The menu is simple but of all the food that we tried was not only delicious and generous portions but was brought to our table promptly and piping hot. We have eaten in many pubs over the years but in all honestly this is the best pub meals we have ever had. If we ever return to Northumberland for a holiday we will most certainly return to the horseshoes inn for our meals. Highly...
