A very welcoming little cafe expecially if you have a dog [rather than a 'Hall of Fane of people' they have a 'Howl of Fame of dog pictures.' This place is immaculate, so clean with the kitchen on show. Very comfortable chairs and good size table. You don't feel too close. We only had a cheese scone with an Americano, plus a diet coke & a piece of Trillionaire shortbread , with dark chocolate. We watched dishes leaving the kitchen and they looked delicious. We will be back to sample the food. The waiting staff were attentive. Drinks were served promptly, followed very quickly by our scone & cake. There is extra seating upstairs, which we didn't view. A number of walkers were using the cafe. The cafe asks you to slip on blue plastic shoe covers to help keep the premises clean, not too much to ask. ❤️

Such an amazing little cafe! We stopped here on the coast to coast (as I'm sure many do). We had a superb brunch (eggs benedict) and some of the best coffee I've ever had, we also got an extra sandwich to take out (BLT) that was delicious. Would highly recommend this absolute gem to anyone. Not only are the food and coffee superb but the staff are so friendly. Very accommodating to a pair of tired smelly hikers! Top marks all round.

Excellent food, I know I only had the granola but it was delicious and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I sat and watched the chef at the open pass. She looked like care and love went into each plate and I wish I could have stayed for lunch. I had a chat with her and the waiter. Also the coffee was the best I had all week. Recommend this place for sure. Also the cakes looked delicious and there were gluten free options too.

Food was fine and everyone was friendly, but it took 90 minutes from arrival to eat our meal - 1 hour from when our order was taken to food arriving, we were advised to expect 45 minutes, and we had to wait 20 minutes for the order to be taken because the waitress came to people strictly in the order she thought they arrived. Far from ideal midpoint on a long hiking day - fellow hikers gloated that they'd got food from the motorway service station (before the incredibly dangerous road...

We had afternoon tea here and the food was lovely 😍 cafè is very clean and kitchen is in view of customers. Staff were also very helpful 🙂 The only negatives we found with the afternoon tea were: Tea/coffee is limited to one cup only, any more is extra. We have afternoon tea regularly and usually tea is unlimited especially when the cost is £22plus. 2.less cake and more savoury would have been preferred 🤔 Regardless, it was still...
