The Lamb Inn, Clandown — Restaurant in England

First time here and very surprised, it's a little gem slightly off the beaten track but well worth a visit - or two, or three . . . . Don't expect your usual pub grub, this is much better than a meal and a pint for £7. No pages of menus to go through but a concise, well put together array of dishes that should satisfy every palate. There is also a specials board for further temptation. My weakness is puddings and they didn't disappoint, the presentation of the food tells you it's fresh - some puddings are frozen/prepped, but my pudding was individually put together on the plate with aplomb. So clearly a chef who has earned his stripes in the Fine Dining setting. Prices are not cheap pub-grub, because that's not what you get here, what you get is good portions of quality food at a price that I found very acceptable. I am not frivelous with money, so If something is that much better than the average I personally have no qualms paying for...

I have had 2 meals and have been astonished both times at the presentation, the portions and the taste, which is absolutely delicious. All home cooked with patience, care and even a little bit of love thrown in as well, which certainly will tantalise your taste buds. The 10oz ribeye steak, cooked to perfection! The mussles, fresh and super big in my opinion, with a sauce you have to mop up with the homemade bread provided. I can't wait to try other beautifully described torments on the menu. A++

Too add, I have recently tried the crispy confuit duck with salad and a sweet chilli garnish, from the specials menu. It was very tasty, full of flavour and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be singing praises to all as it is well worth the experience and reasonable prices,...

Went in there today (Sunday 16th August 2020) the roast pork belly was absolutely outstanding, some of the best crackling and juicy tender pork I've ever eaten at a pub/restaurant! The gravy was full of rich flavour, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and a great selection too. I really highly recommend this establishment! The food really was top draw, attentive staff too and very well organised and sign posted during these times made the whole experience a real treat, i will be returning and I cant wait to do so! Also the lemon cheese cake with vanilla ice cream was the perfect finisher for this...
