Really nice small restaurant. Small menu with special nite dishes. We had though food from the wall menu. Salt and pepper squid , fish and chips, and the restaurants version of seafood chowder. I did not know if the squid was wholesale prepared or fresh. They were very good and not overcooked, so I personally could not tell... The fish and chips were also a good size and a full meal too much for someone who only eats lightly.. my wife doggy bagged what she could not eat, but the meal was very good. The seafood chowder was different. It was very herby (lots of herb flavours) it also was not chunks of seafood like I am used to. Prawn, salmon, white fish, no mussels in a slightly creamy base. It still was very nice and different.. not as creamy as normal chowder. And little garlic, if any? Like you normally get. I took the rose zinfande, which went well with the seafood. Coffee is from a cafetiere. .. The strawberry daiquiri need strawberries not dried bits.. Service was very good View was amazing out of the window

Love this quirky little place. It's closed Monday & Tuesday but we managed to catch Wednesday night. It was curry night which smelled amazing but we had to try the fish & chips. It was really busy and waited about 40 minutes with a local cornish vodka from the licenced bar they have overlooking the harbour (we have had worse waits lol) The wait was well worth it! The food was amazing, the fish fresh the chips not greasy & the home made tartar sauce was properly the best we have ever tasted! Unfortunately we couldn't sit inside the restaurant due to covid restrictions but went in to order and the walls are covered in its history which we loved! Outside your right on the harbour with wooden tables to sit and watch the sun set behind the hills. We got chatting to a lady that had travelled 40 minutes to get here as she had heard how good the food was! We will deffinately be back. Thank you guys for the lovely food & all your hard work 💪

Booked for dinner. Mackeral and beetroot starter was very nice mains Fish and chips and the Plaice. Beautiful fish on both dishes. See pics. The chef delivered plates to our table and also returned to see if everything ok. Brilliant. This isn’t fine dining, but it’s exceedingly good dining. Five stars. 2nd Review as returned for Sunday Lunch. This time we shared the seafood Chowder as a starter. Good potion, creamy sauce with lots of cod, smoked haddock and prawns. Both opted for Beef. Nice. See pics. Best roast potatoes had for a long time. Nice selection of veggies. Only very slight note is beef could have been rarer but I guess that’s a very personal thing.

Went to this place on the the basis of the good reviews. Ordered fish and chips twice had a conversation with the guy regarding salt vinegar and sauces which are 60 pence a pop told guy no thanks. Was given a beeper not sure if they are cleaned after each use would hope so and told to wait outside 40 minutes later someone was beeped that ordered after me. So I asked where abouts I was in the que told I was next in line. Guy serving fish and chips same guy who took my order I was told you can't rush perfection. So he started serving put salt and vinegar on which I told him I did not asked for he showed me the order and argued that I asked for salt and vinegar told him I did not. Then I told him I had to wait for 45 minutes when I was eventually served. I said they need to warn people it will be so long he argued again saying it had not been that long. He was very sarcastic and said thank you see you again and I said that won't be happening. The fish and chips were a long way from perfection dry fish, hard batter and very soggy chips. Obviously the other reviewers have never had fish and chips from Tony's...
