So just a friendly and civilised feedback about our meal out with my partner and and my step daughter, so first of all the building itself is huge and beautiful and how they renovated it is just simply gorgeous and beautiful and elegant the staff is really helpful and very friendly the barman was very polite and kind the waitress who served us was very nice and helpful, the furniture are so beautiful and comfy BUT it is very cramped we needed to moved our chairs and table to be able to seat down even the family of 3 that sat next to us came to our table after she has payed for her bill and said that it’s very small spaces between the chairs and tables and that it’s very bad that they have a big tele in the restaurant which resulted it to feels like you are dining in a sport bar with loads of lads who’s watching football and we’re very loud that even the table next to us said exactly the same, about the food its very sadden as we were looking forward to it but got very massively disappointed, for the price of the each meal I would have thought it’ll be served in very nice and well presented, ordered starters which satay chicken skewers with dip first it was only 1 skewer with abit of salad and the dipping sauce wasn’t nice, also the chicken wasn’t marinated. Tasted plain and a bit like rubber. homemade sourdough bruschetta came as bought in ciabatta which I mentioned to our waitress but the kitchen said it was sourdough ciabatta which really wasn’t and was cold, my partner order their signature burger but sadly it has to go back to the kitchen as has a massive onion skin which was horrible which they took off from the bill which was fair, I ordered pork belly dish was omg it was so sad I don’t have the words to say how I can express how disappointing it was, My step daughter ordered potatoes waffle but served with hash brown waffles, desserts sticky toffee pudding was bought in came without sauce so it was just dry, homemade cheesecake was super super sweet as in super sweet, I really do hope this establishement will do better and will be successful in future lingdale needs place like this to be able to come out and enjoy and dine with their family but I hope they can be more considerate and understandable with the...
Read moreI dont normally write reviews for anything but an hour ago I just ate in the Lingdale Tavern and felt I had to say something! I'm a pretty good cook and hardly ever eat out, but at 2 pm I thought id go out for a quick lunch and let someone else make it. I ordered a half parmo for £5.................. yes £5! I can honestly say it was the tastiest and nicest parmo ive had in a long time from anywhere! It came with hand-cut proper chips and a dressed side salad. It was big enough to satisfy and fill a hungry-nosed 15 stone bloke like me! As I enjoyed it that much I thought............ credit must be given! As I was leaving the chef was just leaving too so I actually gave him a bit of praise to his face ! There are lots of different dishes on the menu all at a low price! I couldnt recommend the standard of what I had highly enough! Its a no-brainer.......................
Read moreChristmas dinner was an absolute fiasco, the service was appalling. They were truly out of their depth. We booked months in advance and pre ordered our starters which just didn't arrive until we made enquiries 3 times. When they eventually arrived some were missing and by the time we queued for our carvery there were no Yorkshire puddings left and no condiments and none of us ate together. The food wasn't bad and the staff did their best, but there wasn't enough staff and obviously the management side of things was at fault. Very...
