The Manor Inn — Restaurant in England

First time visit to the establishment for my wife and myself. The building looked like it was a new refurbishment. We had not booked and were really happy when we were told that "It's Fine" we were shown to table 13 and it was explained that food could take 20 minutes. We ordered drinks and a short while later we ordered food. After around 5 mins food was brought to the table of a large group and a couple. The food looked really nice and we were looking forward to being served next. Two couples came in after a while and ordered food then a third couple who ordered food. Imagine our amazement when food was delivered to the first couple. We assumed it was because they had ordered a starter. But no the second got their steaks delivered followed shortly by the First getting their mains then the third it was then we asked where our food was??. After a while the waitress explained that our order had not been pushed through by mistake. We are not ones for moaning and always make a point of writing good reviews, however on this occasion we felt so angry and let down. Surely the waitress could see that we were sat there with no food and thought why, but no it was only when we spoke up did they bother to do anything. Well over an hour we were sat waiting and watching everybody else get served, more fool us. We explained we would leave. We were given the bill for the drinks, not even a good will gesture for wasting our time. I have worked in a five star hotel......this...

We ate here whilst staying in the area. What a great place! The staff here are all really friendly. We knew that we might get there with not enough time to order before the Kitchen shut - so we phoned our order through. There is a good selection of beers - including those from Wold Top brewery (local brewer)

There are some nice sofas to sit at if you're lucky enough to nab one - and plenty of other tables. There was a bustling crowd in on a Friday night.

Food arrived, piping hot - and tasted as good as it looked! I would highly recommend the burgers. The restaurant was busy with plenty of diners.

Burgers ate and desserts ordered, we washed it down with a few more pints.

What a great place! The staff here couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed.

We enjoyed it so much - we came back on the Saturday evening and ate here again! The food was great - and the serviceo from Brooklyn was brilliant. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything was to our liking. Thank you for 2 enjoyable...

I can not recommend this restaurant enough! Kathleen, Mick and the team were absolutely great from first contact right through to our meal and beyond. I first contacted The manor inn to enquire as to whether I could host my very small wedding meal here. Our group consisted of 10 adults and 3 toddlers. Not only did they say yes, they opened the restaurant at lunch time solely for us! This meant that we had a private occasion which was lovely!

The food, where do I start with this! Every persons food was hot and ready to eat. All food came out together even though we had 3 different mains. The portion sizes were generous to say the least. All food was absolutely delicious.

Kathleen is one of the most friendly people I have met and she went above and beyond for us all. You really are all amazing.
