The Market Inn — Restaurant in England

I enjoyed the best fish at the Market Inn last night. Possibly the best I’ve tasted. Beautiful white, flaky moist fish in the lightest of batters. Traditional accompaniment of fresh chips, mushy peas, and some bread and (real) butter. They are beating the fish & chip shops at their own game, and offering the warmest of welcomes into the bargain. Enjoyed a wonderful meal of fish and chips on Friday evening. The bar is always busy and welcoming and the fish and chip Friday is never a let down. The batter is light and crispy, the fish is a good size, fresh and cooked well. The chips are crispy and are lovely. There is a choice of mushy peas, curry sauce or gravy. The Market Inn is the best place to go if you want to eat out. The food is wonderful and so much of it as well. We always feel that the children and the dogs are safe when we visit and everyone is so friendly.
