The Mended Drum — Restaurant in England

Well, what can I say. My partner and I had spent 1 week in Huby, Yorkshire. Stayed at the New Motel Inn which was blooming great......Twice we both went to the mended drum pub. Ricky and Lisa are brilliant landlords. Very friendly, accommodating, the pub has one of the best pub atmospheres Ive ever come across. The food they cook is awesome and good value and you get more than enough to eat. Highly recommend this pub to any traveller. Made me and my partner Vicky more than welcome. Sometimes you can go in some local pubs that you've never been in and feel unwelcomed. Not this pub. Absolutely great time with the locals there as well as the landlords. A wonderful and welcoming pub serving a an ever changing wide range of craft/ real ales from ( largely local) small breweries . The hosts are very friendly and the pub is welcoming to families . The pub food is the best of street food with amazing burgers being a speciality along with chicken Parmos. Vegetarian alternatives are also available . The pub has a large outdoor beer garden which also since Lockdown occupies the car park . There are regular Drumfest real ale festivals sometimes with live music. Been here 3 times now and the food is always fantastic with massive portions. Their burger ideas of ingredient combinations are ingenuis, fantastic choice of decent ales, Ipa, pales and lager (although I'm not a lager drinker myself) had a lovely IPA with my burger. They change their beers up regularly too which is always a bonus to try something new. My fiancee had a Parmo for her meal which also looked very substantial, I tried it and that also tasted delicious.
