Arrived late in the day (at 14:35) just before closing. My primary reason for coming was to view my friend's photos + listen to his accompanying music which is on display in the small gallery here. [ 'Meanderings' by Paul in the Short5 ]
The gallery was temporarily closed as The Nose Coffee staff were using it to store their Christmas decorations they were crafting.
I spoke to Sarah & Georgina who were serving and asked if it would be at possible to enter the gallery if I was very careful.
They agreed and so now armed with a piping hot takeaway cappuccino coffee I was ushered into the gallery. I was followed by two of the artist's friends (Karen & John) who had also popped in by chance. Thanks to the helpfulness & understanding of both Sarah & Georgina neither mine nor Karen & John's journeys was wasted.
Great little café serving lovely hot and cold drinks, cakes & snacks. A very welcome little haven after a lovely walk around the adjacent Teggs Nose Country Park and stunning surrounding countryside.
Very well with a visit. Paul Clayton (aka Paul in the Short5) exhibition runs in the gallery here until the end of November 2024.

Read moreWent there yesterday for lunch after a 2 hour walk. Ordered 2 cheese and beans on toast, a cappuccino and a tea. The beans on toast arrived with just a light sprinkling of cheese on the top of the beans, much like the sprinkling of parmesan you get on a pasta dish at an Italian restaurant. So a bit cheeky calling it cheese and beans on toast. And not good value for money. The so called cappuccino was a cup of coffee and hot milk with absolutely no milk froth on it whatsoever. You could just as easily have called it a latte or flat white. Whoever made it had no idea what a cuppuccino is. Or if they did, didn't know how to make one. That said, the coffee flavour was...
Read moreWow £3.10 for a cup of tea, sorry but that is just way too much and it wasn't even a pot, just a cup! (Other hot drinks were also a little overpriced). The cakes were expensive too, but this is more understandable, and they were delicious and homemade, so that's fine and justifiable! But please lower the cost of a simple brew so I can return! Update -Thanks for your response I really appreciate that you will lower the price, but we were in fact charged £3.10 (the price on the board) and I've added a picture from your Facebook page to show it's always been that price. But thank you if I've helped you to reconsider the price and this has resulted in you...
