This is a busy and beautiful village pub, with a huge beer garden, friendly staff and great food and drink. It is a free house, and often has a wonderful variety of specials on the board. They often host events such as 80's Night, cider festivals and steam rallys. They support local charities by holding a meat draw (sourced by a popular local farm at Endford) and support village community events supported by the parish council. They cater for all dietary and drinking requirements including gluten-free, vegetarian and Vegan and a huge selection of 0% drink options. They have Pizza night on every Thursday for a discount of a handmade stretched pizza and pint for £15. They have a dart board, a skittle alley, a Pool table and a shove ha'penny table in the games room too. Can't go wrong 👌

We went today as a group , as we had not been there before and I can say we will never go there again . We all thought some of the staff were off with us . First of all we thought it was because no many had drinks . We all had roasts , we asked could we have more veg , yes you can if you pay for them . There were not that much considering there were 6 of us. First time I have been told that. , so let's go into the meal most of us had lamb , it was cut so thin , you had a job to taste it , I had a standard roast and I have to say I came away from there hungry still. Not good . We all were going have a desert, but made a group decision to not have one ,over the level of service and lack of food . There loss . If only they had given a few more veg , they would have sold £ 36 worth of sweets . One more off the list of pubs to...

Ate here yesterday after Googling their menu which showed several suitable vegan choices . But only vegan food available was their daily special of soup . So very disappointed! My Hubby ordered for both of us but my soup was brought out way before his soup and toastie. I also had asked for brown or granary bread but was served a white bread roll . When I asked for it to be changed I was given 2 plain slices of brown bread . The soup was also only lukewarm but couldn’t be bothered to ask for it to be heated up as felt the lady who runs the place was not very friendly and a bit harassed . Also no doggy ice cream available even tho there was a board outside advertising it...
