Great reviews and I was so excited to taste the fresh flavours and ingredients all the reviews here have raved about. Unfortunately we didn't get anything fresh, flavourful or tasty.
They have written on the bottom of their menu that allergens are marked, they are not, all the nutty dishes had no "n" next to them. Quite a frustrating ordering process as waiter had to keep going back to check what has nuts, agreed that the kids butter chicken had no nuts, then returned after taking all of our orders to say it has cashew nuts in the premade sauce (not fresh). So then had to reorder for the whole table (over 6 people) because the waiter was now confused.
I asked for the paneer kadai to be spicy, a few minutes after reordering the waiter asked if I wanted it spicy, I said "yes please". There was a long wait for food. the childrens pizza was cheap Chicago time type pizzas, again not fresh just frozen heavily processed pizza, which was very disappointing.
The paneer kadai was covered in grease, no flavour, no chillis no spice. The garlic naans, weren't the tasty buttery naans most places are able to create, they were covered in a cheap oil, with hardly any garlic.
Lamb curry also covered in grease.
Really disappointing, I would have said this if anyone asked how the food was but nobody did.
On the plus side the venue was friendly and welcoming but unfortunately I won't be...
Read moreBooked this place for a family get together with some family members travelling from over 2 hrs away. They took ages to take our order. Then we waited for an hour for any of the food to arrive. 3 of the meals still hadn’t arrived 10 minutes later so we asked if they were on their way and were told it would be another 10 minutes as they were very busy. At least half of the tables were up-occupied! The food that did arrive was of very poor quality. The Fish with the Fish & Chips was so over fried it was inedible. The pizza was a frozen reheated one. The Chicken Caesar salad had leathery chicken and was swomped in sauce. Cold chips. After 25 minutes I spoke to someone and said not to bother with the other 3 meals. One of the three meals then appeared. We asked to speak to the Manager, not sure if that is who we ended up speaking to, but after explaining the lack of service, poor food quality and the delay on food they did agree to remove the cost of the meals we didn’t get and gave 50% off the fish and chips. In hind sight I don’t feel we should have paid for any of the food. We weren’t the only ones that were not happy with the food/Service. Reading some of the other reviews on here, I can’t believe we went to the same place. I would not recommend this place at all....
