Weatherspoons is not known for their 5* food however , not very good at all . The smell from the nachos was rancid . I did not eat . The atmosphere was dead and the clientele were very disruptive and dodgy . Also one of the waiting staff was quite rude , but the bar staff were great and helpful . The prices are excellent , can’t complain about a pint for £2 . Must say though , will likely not return again

Very nice from the outside with a small rear beer patio. I had a Peerless Little Eye from their choice of real ales. Service was swift, abrupt, and rather unfriendly. No complaints with the great tasting value for money, ale, though. This was the last Spoons I needed to visit to tick them all off in Cheshire. Friendlier service would take it out of my bottom 3 in the county.

General cleanliness is terrible, went in not intending to eat anything but ending up covered in food and grease from off the tables. Lots of tables were uncleared for a long time and were covered in glasses and plates if half eaten food, didn't make it a pleasant atmosphere to walk into as they were all by the entrance.

Wetherspoons has been a local favourite in widnes for many years and throughout the years its changed alot. Upon my 2 most recent visits I've received very different levels of service. On my first visit the social distancing measures where in place and the wetherspoons app was easy to use when ordering food and drink. Track and trace forms where located at the entrance with a covered post box to ensure information security. The level of cleanliness was below standard and I had to request a cloth from behind the bar and cleaned the table myself. The table also had dirty dishes left on their which I had to request to be moved, 3 other tables close by also had dishes on them. The good was as affordable as always, came hot and tasted great. Upon my second visit the same social distancing measures where in place and more screens where present the track and trace system was still in use. I ordered 2 bowls of porridge and a breakfast wrap. The porridge cam exceptionally dry and the wrap was unfortunately luke warm. Our waiter was pleasant and polite and our food arrived quickly. It was just a shame that the food didnt meet up to the usual standards. The level of cleanliness had improved alot considering the pub...

I can remember the buzz and gossip when it was announced that the Wetherspoons Goliath was coming to town. The old cinema was being revamped and reused. I visit my old home town now and again, more often than not I pop into Wetherspoons. Sadly the decline is evident, in that end of town. Kebab, pizzas, rehab and a night club which if memory serves has not seen a good night for over twenty years. But at least the weed in the window is happy. "One swallow does not make a summer". One Wetherspoons dosnt make a high street. I'm sure if it's surroundings where better , then it would have a better feel. Anyhoo! Wetherspoons is Wetherspoons the one in Widnes is a three star one. I've worked all over Britain now, and believe me there are a few which are two star. Not many though. Download the Wetherspoons app....

Arrived at our destination after a long and stressful journey, and all I wanted was some good quality food. We walk through the doors, sit down, and we order our food, life is great again! I order a side and a burger, two of my mates also order burgers, and the last one ordered fish and chips. My sides come, great! Suddenly the mains are coming, fantastic! But then... Disaster strikes... My mates finish their food, and I'm here burgerless, and hungry... After half an hour of waiting, I then stand at the bar for 10 minutes wanting an answer. Finally, after 45 minutes the food arrives, and it was dry and flavourless... I waited 45 minutes for this... Pathetic! If I could leave zero stars I would! Never eating here again, I'...
