We booked an overnight stay as we had an early flight. We arrived at 6:30 on the 5th Nov. The pub had a fireworks display so obviously was extremely busy. When we finally got to the bar which was very busy, we were told to wait until 7pm, as the bar would be much quieter then as everyone would go outside to watch the fireworks. We were given a round of drinks on the house while we waited, which was appreciated. Our daughter was getting hungry so my husband went outside and bought her a hotdog as the normal menu wasn't available due to it being fireworks night. He paid £5 for the delight that was a pink, raw sausage. Absolutely disgusting. Luckily she didn't want it! After waiting 40 minutes to finally get to be taken up to our room. The girl that took us up and opened the door, looked shocked... Walked into the room, looked shocked, said 'one minute' & closed the door behind her leaving us stood outside on the landing. 5 minutes later out walks a small child, what looked to be her nan and the staff member followed. She said 'that was the owners daughter, she wanted to watch the fireworks from inside!!' I'm sorry, but this is not acceptable!!!! We had no apology from the member of staff, the beds had obviously been sat on by these people as the cushions were messy and the duvet had creases in!!!!! It wasn't until we realised once we were settled that these people had been in the room the whole time we had been there as when we first arrived we tried to park in the car park but it was full. As we were driving back out we saw 2 adults and at least 2 small children (which were on the bed) in our room. Absolutely shocking service!! Paying customers treated like absolute dirt. Would definitely Not...

We went for a family members birthday. They offered us a table in the Snug. We ordered steaks which were tough, my daughter ordered a medium to well done steak and it arrived with blood oozing from the steak on to the rest of the food on her plate. No staff came round to see if everything was ok with our meal, which is standard practise everywhere we have been to |The staff are rude and couldn’t be bothered. They were too interested in talking to the scaffolders that were in the main room. All we could hear while we were there was swearing and shouting from them|We informed one of the staff about the steak and she offered my daughter a free dessert, bearing in mind that we paid £26 and desserts are around £7. |My husband asked for the meal to be taken off the bill to which she said she would speak to the manager. We waited 10 minutes for her to come back and say that they were not willing to take the steak off the bill. We told her that we were not happy with the decision so she went back to the manager again. They grudgingly took it off the bill. When we walked out the staff and scaffolders gave us filthy looks. Never again will we step foot...

Health Warning!!! I started using pubs at the age of 14. In my 20’s I managed pubs. In my 30’s I worked for Jack Daniels and visited 12 plus pubs a day. But I must say:- The Prince of Waterloo Winford, has the cleanest, freshest and nicest gents toilets I’ve every seen / used. I didn’t get to use the pub itself. But I can say the pub looked nice, had a nice atmosphere and the staff I spoke to very lovely.

Covered seating, a playground for the little ones and an very good Sunday Lunch offering. We came here a week ago for Sunday Lunch and will definitely go back. An old coach house with an impressive history and a couple of nice bedrooms. Perfect if flying from Bristol Airport. Inside is as you'd expect and full of character. I look forward to going back when the log fires are all fired up.

I absolutely loved my Sunday roast but my girlfriend golden beet pie literally had none in and she was very disappointed the manager refunded her completely and said he can't help what he is supplied with from companies. Understandable. So I left the staff half of the refund and can't wait to go there again. No golden beet pie next time
