Always a pleasure to visit this lovely place in Bridport! This is my second time coming after being here once with some friends and had one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had! We booked a table for lunch on the Bank holiday Monday but turned out we were the first ones in any way. The place only offered pizza on the day but there are some good options on the menu. We did worry initially that we would get those massive takeaway pizzas which we could never finish, but what came is a nice surprise. The pizza dough is homemade and the toppings are just perfect. I have never finished a pizza so quickly with how tasty it is! My friend ordered the one with buffalo chicken and honey hot sauce which has a bit of a kick, I have a bite and it is equally delicious too. The chips are also a good side and served hot. They didn’t have a dessert menu when I asked but the waitress did give me the options on the spot which I opted for the chocolate brownie, which certainly does not disappoint. It tastes divine and has a bit of saltiness in it which balance out the sweetness. Overall a truly enjoyable meal again, with lots of green around and a peaceful place for casual meals with friends and family. The staff are all friendly and attentive too which makes the whole experience even better! Must visit when I’m down in Dorset again

The Pymore Inn is one of our local pubs and has been a favourite since it was taken over and refurbished by the Electric Pub Company. It’s especially great for summer drinks and food, and has the best garden of any pub we’ve visited. When we were looking for a venue for our 50th birthday party, The Pymore was top of our shortlist and we decided it offered everything we wanted. Our party was a resounding success, with nearly 100 guests and fantastic late-summer weather. The Pymore team led by manager Alex and chef Jim delivered an outstanding event. The food (brisket, pulled pork, sides) was exceptional - thank you Jim! We’ve had dozens of positive comments about the party and we’re already thinking about the next one. A big thanks also goes to the Electric Pub Company’s Mark Banham for his support in the planning and execution of our event.

We had a brilliant evening at The Pymore Inn for their Adele tribute night. The food was excellent – well cooked and full of flavour. You could tell a lot of care had gone into the menu, and everything came out hot and nicely presented. Service was friendly and relaxed, even with a full house. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and helped create a welcoming, laid-back vibe. The Adele tribute act was fantastic – great voice, great presence, and had the whole room singing along by the end. The atmosphere was lively but still cosy, the kind of night where everyone leaves smiling. A top night all round. We’ll definitely be back for another one.

Our friends mentioned this pub that they had been to before and said we should go here as it's great we of course obliged and turned up at the Pymore Inn earlier today. We came as a table of 4 although we paid in pairs. Good selection of drinks, good menu and lovely beer garden. Also beautiful location with lovely views! Me and my partner ordered food AFTER our friends. Friends ordered a veggie pizza and beef roast, we ordered a beef roast and a veggie roast. We only went in the beer garden where it seemed busy but not rammed. I will admit we did not book ahead however there was no warning of a wait on food... We waited an hour before asking for an update on where our food is, both our tickets were resent to the kitchen they also offered a round of drinks which we thought was very decent of them. We carried on as we were still fairly happy. We have all worked in customer service we know what it's like. They then came out to say our friends pizza is no longer available (we saw them shut down the pizza ovens 10 minutes before) she then reordered arancini and chips. 20 minutes after the one hour mark me and my partner received our two roasts. We believe it was the manager who brought them out and then said he will chase up the other ticket for our friends order. We hesitated to start our friends insisted we begin. The food was alright we believe the potatoes to be reheated as it was an hour after food service had stopped but still not awful. We finished our food, our friends were still waiting for theirs. It had now been an hour and 30 minutes. They went up again to ask again what was happening where the staff didn't seem to be sure. They then asked to cancel the order as we needed to go soon, the order was cancelled and they got refunded for the food. The person we believed to be the manager walked past apologised and mentioned how he wasn't sure how the kitchen lost the tickets (TWICE). We were just finishing our drinks off when they finally brought over our friends food as well as mine and my partners food AGAIN after 1 hour and 45 minutes. Our friends simply stated they no longer want it as we need to leave. We left just after that. A very disappointing first time experience, we were saying when we turned up how nice it was and that we should meet here more often... Maybe not anymore. Definitely seems like a great pub to go for a drink and had so much potential to be our new meeting spot. Seems that won't be the case. Also a very poor excuse for them not recieving their food, after the kitchen received our tickets twice. I was shocked not more was done in a way of an apology after that poor excuse. We will probably not return I definitely don't think our friends will. Our friends are now on their way to McDonald's where they know they will at least receive their food in a timely manner. As I said we all have worked in customer service and we are understanding when it comes to things like this so I do not wish to deter anyone from here and tell you not to go as everything, other than the wait, and the poor excuse, was amazing I simply hope everyone else's experience is...

The Pymore Inn has a lovely setting outdoors and a pleasant, light interior that comprises traditional pub interiors with a modern twist. Toilets are clean and well maintained. We were a group of 8 locals inclusive of a couple continental guests when we visited the Pymore inn for a much anticipated family dinner out. We made a booking for 8 but received a call to say that we would be seated in 2 adjacent tables rather than the larger table , which we accepted and didn’t particularly mind. We were told we could push the tables together. On arrival we were seated on two tables diagonal from each other, which were not in a position to be joined which meant we had to split the party in two. The atmosphere in the pub is pleasant. Drink order was prompt and came as expected. We waited in excess of 45 minutes for our starters and and an 1 hour and 10 minutes after finishing the starters for our main courses. The food was well presented but pretty standard pub fare with very little special interest apart from the steak tartar starter, which was better than average. The mains of bavette steak with chips was just that; steak and chips in a pub. The fish main was underwhelming, but acceptable. The iron age pork was tasty but oddly not served with anything than a blob of apple sauce and a sliver of fennel, which did t quite do justice to the £18 price tag in a pub. It looked a bit lost and forlorn on its large fashionable plate. The burgers were given a “okay but meh” by 3 children aged 9-14 and the child portion of the chicken goujons was deemed passable, if not a bit chewy by the 8 year old. The main problem with the food was really the extremely long waits- not what you’d expect from pretty standard fare on a Wednesday evening. No explanation nor apology was offered which was a bit salty from our point of view. We would have had puddings- much anticipated by the children, but we’re not prepared to risk another long wait as we only finished our mains. At 9.15 for a 6:30 booking. We chose to eat at the Pymore inn based on friends recommendations.I suspect if the food service had been more prompt and service more interested and attentive we would have awarded another couple of stars. It’s not a bad place, our experience was just one of the worst you can get when anticipating a cheerful pub supper: slow, inattentive service and at best the food was a good side of mediocre. I would not recommend unless you have an entire evening...

Left too late to book anywhere else so tried here they had plenty of space to accommodate a party of 8 with dogs. Looked nice when parking, Fire pit and beer tents looked great and really wasn’t too busy at all, we thought our luck was in!!

After an hours wait after ordering, unfortunately 2 out of 8 meals came raw, and they were both the kids meals, luckily the kids were so young they needed their sausages cutting up so it was noticed before they ate them, the sausage cutter wasn’t as lucky affording themselves a nibble mid slice, not a great result from that! We alerted the staff to the visibly raw sausages, they removed the plates to bring fresh, poor kids sat with no meals while all the adults had theirs, distressing in its self, eventually, after we had all finished eating ours (and sharing our plates with the kids) they brought out one kids meal not 2. We complained and they refunded the 2 kids meals and we took them home to make fishfingers instead.

3 other meals in our party ordered chicken burgers, described as chicken breast butterflied, came as what we can only describe as the dodgy left over bits of nuggets in the bottom of the bag that found its way to our plates, we each had 2 nuggets of chicken, if these were butterflied breasts it’s must have come from a pigeon!

We don’t know if this is usual for this place or they were just having a bad day but we wouldn’t be...
