We visited in December 2020, just before the third lockdown. The Inn is located in the heart of the village, opposite the church, so be prepared to hear the bells. It didn’t bother us at all, quite the opposite- we believe it only added even more charm and character to our stay. It’s an old building, with a pub/dining area downstairs and two en-suite rooms upstairs. You do hear some noise from the bar in the evening, but it stops at 10pm and after that it all goes very quiet. There’s plenty of parking space and outside tables for the guests. The bar is so cosy, with two lovely fireplaces and a good selection on tap. The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavours and aromas, and decent portions as well. We stayed in the bigger room, The Bumblebee. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, with a large en-suite bathroom with bath/shower. The full English breakfast included in the price was excellent and it kept us going the whole day. Last but not least, all the staff were exceptional - super friendly and helpful (a big shoutout to Beryl, we enjoyed our morning chats very much) and they truly made us feel safe and welcome. Overall, it was a really nice stay and we would be nothing but happy to...

We didn't stay in the hotel as we were staying elsewhere in Helston. We were looking around for somewhere to eat, being down on holiday it always difficult to decide where. We happened to come across The Queens Arms and so glad we did. Absolutely fantastic food and generous portions. I had the mixed grill, my partner has the scampi from the main menu and the kids both chose nuggets from the kids menu. I thought I would test the staff and chef a little so when ordering the mixed grill as the server didn't ask how I wanted the steak cooked, I didn't say and the steak came out medium rare which is perfect. All the food was cooked superbly. The customers seemed predominantly locals in there but they and the staff made us feel very welcome, got chatting to a few of them as if we had been going there for years. Great atmosphere, decent selection of drinks, spacious outside seating, both undercover and open. Keep up the great work, we will be back again.... And more than...

I took my mum here for a pub lunch after attending a hospital appointment. The food was lovely I will say. The downsides were that the bar/waiting staff were visibly on their phone during shift, the cutlery definitely needed a polish as were water marks all over it! The drinks weren't placed on beer mats like you'd expect at any pub or restaurant, we had to put them on ourselves. I don't like speaking bad about places but I think there just needs to be some things changed in regards to hygiene and staff manner when it comes to this pub/restaurant. Apart from that it was lovely and quiet, the new outside wooden seating area looked lovely as well. And like I said, food was lovely 🙂

Very family friendly, we felt really welcome. The huge outdoor space and play area was perfect for us with young children. The food was delicious. They didn't have a printed out children's menu which I would've preferred but they told us a few items at the bar and were really flexible, said they could make anything on the menu into a child's portion. If we're ever in the area again would definitely return.
