A very disappointing experience. Ate here with friends based on its reviews and recommendations. We won't return and wouldn't recommend. The prices are extortionate, particularly the drinks and we were over charged. Make sure you double check your bill. We had to send one of our main dishes back to the kitchen as it was completely tasteless - the worst satay dish I've ever had. Service was slow once we were at the table and no one bothered to check we were ok. We were charged £3 for a glass of soda water! Really!! That's almost the same price as a pint of beer. We definitely won't eat here again. I hate feeling like I'm being ripped off. Thankfully we still enjoyed our evening with our friends, but that was due to the company not the restaurant experience. There are much better quality places to eat in the area, that use fresh locally sourced produce, and much...
Read moreWe arrived a little early for our evening Cantonese meal so we had a drink in the bar to kill a bit of time. As we entered there were two locals having a drink but despite us being total strangers (from Bradford, West Yorkshire) atmousphere was relaxed & conversation easy. The bar and restaurant staff were all friendly and happy in their work making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Our Banquet for Two was very well presented, placed on candle warming stands to ensure the food retained the heat. Each course was excellent, even the coffee we had to finish the evening with was presented in a unique fashion with your own milk, sugar complimentary chocolates & coffee on an individual plate. The premises external & internal & furnishings are clean and very well maintained. I'm very happy to recommend The...
Read moreMixed feelings. Fitted us in on Friday night at short notice. Staff were ok.
Fairly busy. Very noisy. Very family friendly, really felt a bit like a cross between a cafe/cafeteria and one of the pubs with the kids play areas.
Starter very good (duck), main courses somewhere between poor and mediocre a bit tasteless to be honest, one was the hottest on the menu (their rating for the numtung) and was basically a bland satay. Salt and pepper chips good, rice terrible, congealed in to a lump, would be bad as a takeaway but no excuse in an eat in situation.
Price on the higher side of average but not expensive.
We both shared each others food, we do both have a slightly queasy tummy an hour or so later.
Eaten at far worse places, but would never...
