The Railway Inn — Restaurant in England

OMG what a disaster, table booked for 6.30pm ordered from basic menu, 2 lots of scampi and 2 burger meals. 2 Hours and 10 minutes later walked out. Jack (barmen) tried his best, felt sorry for the lad, but other male behind the bar was rude and tried to justify the reason why we didn’t have any food. To be fair you cannot justify 2 hours 10 minutes wait for food. During the time there 3 other tables of people walked out before us. We didn’t see any food come out during this time either. Come to think about IT could not smell food being cooked either. Honestly is the best policy so if they were having trouble filling order then they should of spoken to us. WILL NEVER...

Went for lunch as good vegan options on the menu, food was nice though veg very overcooked. Service very slow and a big rigmarole over my son’s lunch- they didn’t have macaroni cheese (told over 15 mins since ordering) so ordered vegan nuggets meal instead, only brought out nuggets without chips and peas as it cost more than the Mac cheese originally ordered!!! Had to have 3 discussions about it which seemed ridiculous, even when offering to pay difference. Had a very grouchy 3 year old on our hands who didn’t end up getting his lunch until we’ll over an hour past the time we ordered. Not great ambience in there either, more of a drinking pub which is a shame...

Friendly village pub... A group of 10 of us booked a table, not knowing the exact time we would be there as we were out hiking. It was no problem if we were a little late. We arrived having walking for 7 hours in the rain, very wet and muddy, feeling a bit embarrassed. We were quickly served and offered to hang some of our coats up.
