This was my third overnight stay at the Red Lion in the past 18 mths and everything was just as good as on my previous two stays.||I do a lot of trail running competitions in the Lake District and prior to finding the Red Lion, Id always struggled to find places that will do one night stays at the weekend and that werent charging mad touristy prices.||The hosts are such lovely people and the pub really is a credit to them.||I stayed in the twin room again, which is comfy, cosy, spotless and with a bathroom that looks brand new. ||The area around the Red Lion is so peaceful, that you cant help but sleep like a log. The pub also shuts at 10pm at the weekend and from then on, theres not a sound.||I had the beautiful cauliflower and sweet pepper curry, washed down with a perfectly kept pint of Corby Blonde Ale.
