My Wife was caught short and needed the loo when passing this pub. So we stopped and she went inside to use their facilities. Due to her embarrassment she felt she needed to buy something and tried to buy some peanuts, as we'd not had a drink there. A very rude Lady said "I'd rather you put some money in the charity box than buy peanuts if you're buying them so you can use the loo" This made my Wife very self conscious and feeling guilty about using their loo. The Lady reiterated her point about the charity box another two times to my Wife. How very unnecessary. Can't someone just use the toilet in a pub without having a guilt trip cast upon them.
