The Red Lion Stevington — Restaurant in England

For the past six weeks I have spent Monday - Friday staying at The Red Lion while away for business. During my time at The Red Lion I have stayed in multiple rooms ranging from one of the cottages, the apartment and my personal favourite the palm and they have all been top tier from the interior to the cleanliness the rooms cannot be faulted. The staff within the pub made us feel at home and looked after us completely throughout our stay always making sure we had everything we needed. The Food never disappointed! The menu had a range of items which during our stay we went through and my personal favourite would have to be the cauliflower wings and the peanut butter brownie! Food 10/10 Rooms...

I made a booking on the 13th of Feb and needed to cancel a few days later. I was informed that I would be able to have a refund as it was within a month of cancelling my booking. However I am still yet to receive payment.It's is now the 7th of March. I have emailed and called many times and was advised on the 24th of feb that my payment was being processed by their accountant. However again I am yet to receive this. I booked the room for my wedding in the summer. I would not recommend this place to friends or family as a place to stay as the service is shocking. People may seem polite during calls, but customer service is about delivering the results/outcomes that are promised. This is the worst service I have recieved with any booking or purchase that I have made....and as expected with planning a wedding I have made a few. Thank you for making the process...

We had 2 burgers and chips £18 each and cod and chips around £18. We were charged a discretionary service charge of almost £7 without being told when we ordered our meal at the bar. The food came out and looked good. When we started eating the burger, it was very dry, and the brioche bun was also very dry. My sons cod and chips were good. We complained to the bar staff about the meal but he couldn't authorise any refund so we left our details for the manager to contact us later which she did. We have been refunded our burger meals and service charge and also a 50% discount on our return as she said it was very unusual for this to have happened. We were very pleased at which the complaint was dealt with and will be returning again in September sometime. The pub is a very nice country pub with a lovely garden...
