The Restaurant at Rookery Hall — Restaurant in England

We've been here a few times and consistently get fantastic tasty food and excellent service to go with it. Helen is especially friendly, polite, and attentive. That's not to say the rest of the staff aren't also excellent, but Helen, I wanted to point out as being such a fantastic server.

Our most recent visit we tried the small plates and treated it like tapas. All the dishes were excellent. The chicken wings were especially tasty, really moist, and full of flavour. The squid was also delicious. Not rubbery that you can sometimes get, and the accompanying sauce was delicious. The prawns were also a highlight, so much flavour!

Whilst the inside of the restaurant (hotel) is fabulous, a sunny day and sitting outside is definitely the best way to enjoy here. The grounds are stunning and so lovely to sit and enjoy your food and drink in.

Parking is free, and we've never had an issue finding a place.

We have never needed to book, although we mainly come for lunch, so dinner service may be different and may be worth booking for that.

We had an absolutely fabulous meal tonight, I would highly recommend it. Two out of four of us were vegan and the options we had were wonderful, as well as the incredibly friendly and sociable staff. Had a lovely evening and would definitely return if in this area...
