We had to walk out after waiting nearly an hour for food. A party of 8 who arrived much later got served in front of us which was the final straw. Such a shame as the food is good. We use to come here regularly with our extended family and have experienced this problem before so have gradually stopped coming here but not to this level. We decided to give it one last chance today but recieved the worst ever level of neglectful service. There was plenty of staff and lots of empty tables. Our conclusion is that the staff are simply too young to know better. We watched as they busied themselves around us cleaning tables. It was like we were ghosts! I had my 19 month old toddler with us and Sunday dinner is a very important meal for us (as with many families) but we ended up eating sandwiches back at home instead. The Robinhood. Nice atmosphere, great food just badly managed. It’s a real shame, especially considering the owner is a really nice and welcoming man who always takes the time to come to your table...

This is probably some of the most fantastic pub food we have had, so much so that our plans to cook in our rented cottage have gone out of the window. Their selection of food was great - something to sort all tastes. Delivered hot and freshly cooked and tasting great. Can particularly recommend the battered mushroom starter - batter to die for. Prawn cocktail which puts every other prawn cocktail I have ever had to shame - absolutely loaded with prawns. Burgers fantastic and a homemade steak pie that has to be on your "must have list". The best chips too. Nice atmosphere, friendly and welcoming customers, unlike some village pubs where you are made to feel like an alien the minute you walk through the door! Great team and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended and a definite return for us. Thank...

By twenty past twelve there was still no sign off opening, however pering through the windows it became apparent it was set out for the reception if the wedding going on at the church behind it.
No signs to say it was closed for a private function, no one around to ask, just a locked door and complete lack of...
