We visited today for Mothers Day and had a lovely roast dinner. Portions were very generous and the food was absolutely delicious - I’d say the best roast dinner I’ve had out in quite some time. I’m coeliac and had mentioned being gluten free when I booked but my expectations were well and truly surpassed! The staff were friendly enough, but unfortunately, it was really cold in the dining area. Although there was an open log fire, it wasn't enough to keep the whole room warm. What a pub! I stumbled across this beauty during a bike ride on a lovely spring evening. Claire, Peter and Cath were introduced to us and they really made our evening special. The food was magnificent. The Louisiana Prawns & the Cheeseburger were to die for.
