The Royal Oak, Stoford — Restaurant in England

Have visted this pub before and had a very good roast dinner. On our recent vist we were a group of four and booked for the sunday roast. On arrival we where informed there would be no roast as it was to hot and no one other than us had wanted roast but they were still cooking off the meanu .So we ordered one steak pie and mash ,one ham ploughmans lunch and two cheese ploughmans lunches. The pie was enjoyed . But each plougmans lunch came with bread that was so hard and dry you could not eat it the cheese ploughmans had a wedge of cheddar and two pickle onlons a bit of pickle and lettuce two fine slices of tomatoes and little bit of onion and coleslaw and the ham ploughmans had...

The atmosphere was very relaxed and while the main bar isn't that large, it never felt too small.

The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, making me feel welcome during my stay.

The food was very well presented and with good portion sizes for the meals. It didn't take very long to make either, leaving time enough for a pint after ordering before getting my meal.

Nice enough pub, portions are very small, Cajun chicken burger which I had was minute, about twice the size of my finger, my daughters goujons were as big if not bigger. It was also very dry and in places crunchy. Overall not great value for money. Daughters had 2 scoops of ice cream for desert, looked more like 2...
