Start with a positive, the evening meal of a burger was very good and the young barman and waitress were very friendly and helpful.|We asked about breakfast and were told 9am.|We went down to the dining room ( which is very nice) at 9 and there was no one around for about 10 minutes. The young barman arrived and asked if we would like a drink, we ordered coffee but he had trouble with the machine so we cancelled breakfast as we were told the chef hadn't turned up!|The stairs up to the room were extremely shabby and dirty. Our room also looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed and was quite dusty in places. The bed looked inviting however.|There was a shower over the bath ( not a walk in shower) and we think the shower riser was put on upside down as even at it's lowest the shower was 6 feet high.|Despite a code for wi fi in the room there was no WiFi fi available in the bedrooms.|We had booked and paid for a 2 night stay through Booking.com and when we returned to our slightly smoky smelling room after our day out, the room hadn't been serviced.
