We came over to here on the spur of the moment, my son had a table booking for two, then phoned and asked to increase it to four people👍 We have been coming here for years! It has always been a fantastic place to come and eat out, with quality food and a lovely atmosphere. It's generally a busy place, but more so with the build up to Christmas, with lots of work events being held in groups. There is a huge conservatory at the front end, which has seating, a middle bar section with nicely spaced tables. There is also a carvery area at the left hand side of the building too, all these are positioned around the central bar. This place is huge! Service was very prompt, there was so much choice from the menu, we had to have more time to choose!🤷‍♂️😆 We ordered drinks and food at the same time. Well it wasn't long before all our meals turned up😋 The size of the meals are very big, so make sure you have a great appetite! They did offer a take out box if we couldn't eat it all👍 There is a section of small meals to choose from, which is brilliant. The food was very tasty and great value, we were very impressed! This is a place to come and try, if you haven't been before👍 A huge car park here and some disabled access parking. Can't wait to come back and chose more from the menu😋😀

Sallys Pussey Inn is a wonderful country restaurant that exudes charm and warmth, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area. From the moment you walk in, the positive atmosphere and vibrant energy are palpable. The friendly service sets the tone for a dining experience that feels both welcoming and relaxed. The menu is impressively diverse, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for local specialties, a hearty steak, a classic burger, or even pizza, Sallys Pussey Inn has it all. The variety is so extensive that you're bound to find something that satisfies any craving. For families, the lengthy kids' menu is a huge plus, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters have plenty of options to choose from. The food itself is delicious, with every dish crafted with care and attention to detail. The flavors are rich and satisfying, making each meal a memorable one. Despite the high quality of the food, the prices are very fair, offering great value for money.Overall, Sallys Pussey Inn is a delightful spot that combines yummy food, great service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. Highly recommended!

great staff. It was a very busy Easter weekend and it looked like 4 staff members served 15 tables, 3 tables had 8+ people on them. Well done! Even though Times were a little slow. Food was great on the most part, just a few silly mistakes. vegetables were a little dry, which I am putting down to the huge pressure they were under on that day. Second, and marked down one star for, I ordered tuna steak, which they cooked all the way through. Don't know why, maybe customers prefer this but it shouldn't be done like this. Still tasted nice but a little chewy and such a shame. Still others meals in our party of 6 was extremely good and tasted fantastic. Of the few that could manage dessert they said their locally sourced ice-cream was a real treat. Prices very reasonable and a good place to get a decent meal. Solid 4 star place ... but for not cooking tuna steak, so stay away from that. Carvery is only on Sunday and after 5 on Friday and Saturday. we were looking forward too, but just missed out on. Shame I have heard food things about it.

On Christmas Eve my family and I arranged to have breakfast. We were placed in the ‘conservatory’ extension bit next to a large table of a very lid chatty family. The restaurant was otherwise completely empty of diners.

Due to both my husband and I suffering from tinnitus, and my husband severely so, he went and asked if we could be moved away from the other table to the other side of the restaurant. Your staff, who were just standing chatting, said no we couldn’t. He then came back and the noise level made him very uncomfortable. However he is not as ‘persistent’ shall we say about asking for support/help. I therefore went and asked the same question. The female staff said that you were completely booked. However I said well no one else has arrived yet and no specific tables had been reserved and so I saw no issue with us moving, we had not ordered or been served, to a further away table. These female staff didn’t seem to be too helpful. Then Ollie arrived and despite seeming to be a much more junior member of staff, he said he would speak to the manager and immediately moved us to a table at the other end of the restaurant. This enabled us to enjoy our breakfast, especially for my husband. There is another member of staff who wasn’t working at that time, a Spanish lady, who is also extremely helpful as my daughter in law is Spanish and so when her mum comes to visit it makes it so much easier for her to order. Even though my daughter in laws English is excellent it takes a lot of pressure off of her when her mum is here. It is because of these two members of staff that we use your restaurant as our first choice whenever we can. Normally I would have given 5* for everything but the initial responses of the female staff on duty that morning left an awful lot to be desired. I would normally have left this review nearer the time but we all got ill (nothing at all to do with this restaurant) and I forgot.

PS I received a response to this review on Tripadvisor but can't find a way of responding to the management comments (travellerh). Please note this wasn't an evening booking, it was breakfast as stated clearly. The rest of the restaurant apart from the noisy table was EMPTY as stated. Perhaps I should have been clearer. I made it REALLY clear to your staff about the issue of the tinnitus and apart from Ollie they didn't care and ignored this. This was NOT a case of it being busy at the time NOR of your staff not knowing specifically about tinnitus (your trip advisor response said had they known they'd have gone out of their way to help🙄) they just could NOT be bothered. Please remember not all disabilities come with...

Firstly we were so excited to come back to this place however will never return. We ordered a round of drinks to start which the lady forgot one of them so asked again waited 10 minutes and then had to asked again and she said sorry will get that now. Then we ordered food which to say the least was disgraceful the double trouble burger we ordered was burnt and dry with cold soggy chips the spicy pizza we ordered was warm when it got to the table and the pint my partner ordered was complete flat. We left half the burger and half the pizza when they waitress came over and asked was everything ok we explained what was wrong she said oh ok and walked off. And she didn’t come back to the table after about 15 minutes I went to the bar and asked to speak to someone a lady asked me to explain she said no worries I’ll speak to someone she then came to our table and said you can have 30% off we explained we didn’t want 30% we just didn’t want to pay for food that wasn’t eaten or the drink that wasn’t drunk. She said she would be back in a mo. We could see her talking about us to the member of staff that said oh ok and she then lied and said she didn’t say that and that food was ok this was a lie and then turned to look at our table and turned her nose up and shook her head but this is when 4 members of staff came over including the front of house manager who is the most awful front of house manager I have ever met telling us I thought your plates were clean we never get complaints so your wrong and she was going to check the cctv to see exactly what we have eaten we said ok you are welcome to do that. She then came flying back out of the kitchen after realising she was wrong screamed at us in front of the whole restaurant causing a scene telling us to get out and that we would never be welcome again I have never been so disappointed and embarrassed in...

I wouldn't recommended this place based on my visit a couple of weeks ago. My friend and I booked a table for 2 at 12 and this was our first visit here. We arrived and it took a little while for someone to come over to us and then a little longer to find our booking. The lady who seated us said the table was our for 90 minutes. We sat down and our drinks order was taken immediately and we were told we couldn't order breakfast now as was too late. We didn't mind that to much. Our food order was then taken. The portion size for lunch was good however I wasn't impressed with all the food. The green beans were dry and hard, the mash lacked flavour but the vegan pie was nice. As soon as we finished we were immediately approached by another waitress and was told she would need the table back. We had only been here for 45mimutes. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I had only just finished chewing and was being asked to leave. The waitress then gave us the bill and said the other guests had arrived early and she would need the table straight away. In total we were there fir 50 minutes. It was a complete rush andit was extremely rude, the whole situation left ua feeling awkward and like unwamtedc guests. I would not visit again based on this. I feel when your going out for a meal with a friend you should be able to relax and enjoy and this was...
