We came here for a meal and I must say it is a hidden gem! The pub itself is quirky and well decorated in fairy lights, giving a wonderful atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious- really good portion sizes, plenty of options to choose from and served with a smile, all for a very good price. There are also plenty of wines/drinks to choose from at the bar. The staff were all so lovely- in particular the barmaid/waitress who was so polite in getting to know us and making our stay pleasant, and the owner who greeted us at our table and recommended some dishes from the menu (his wife is the chef- and a very good one at that) and wine. Read moreHaving lived in Somerset for nearly 12 years The Smithy is without a doubt my favourite pub. The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly; the atmosphere is relaxed and the customers are a wonderful mix of great people.
There is a large garden for eating out during the summer where they put on events .
Cosy sofas around the fireplace for the winter months and most importantly the food is proper pub food with a great mix of choice.
