Myself and my partner took our children to the squirrel last night for a family tea at first everything seemed to be going well however once we ordered our food it quickly went wrong.

We ordered our food and pointed out that some of our children didn't like cheese or onions on they're meals and we patiently waited over an hour for our food to arrive.

We understood that they would be cooking some of our meals fresh so waited some more assuming that was the reason for the delay.

We also didn't want to seem impatient customers.

After around 1 hour 30 mins no food had arrived however a table behind us which arrived after us had been served in one go very quickly.

We began to get annoyed about this and asked the staff where our food was which we was told a few minutes away.

When the food eventually arrived 2 meals were sent back due to dietary requirements not being met and other meals turned up luke warm or not at all.

We questioned this and staff at the bar seemed not to know why and seemed disinterested towards us so we asked to speak with management about it.

The manager ( Jess ) took my complaint very seriously and refunded us the money for our meals and offered us free puddings per person.

She also asked the chef why some meals weren't sent out which was due to stock levels but hadn't been told to us or management at the time of the order.

I thought this was very kind of Jess to do for us as she totally understood our complaint and put it down to staff error that she told us it shouldn't of happened and was very apologetic.

We was then approached by the kitchen manager Hannah who was also very apologetic and offered us a dining experience in the future to make our experience better for free.
