Wednesday 18 September 2024 6pm - four of us, plus 3 dogs, celebrating my granddaughters 18th birthday. Her first time ordering drinks! The bar staff acted appropriately, they asked her for ID before wishing g her a happy birthday. The food is always excellent at the Stirrup Cup - a starter of chicken strips - then four different meals, all generous portions and served hot. Our dogs are always welcome here, which makes it our go-to local pub.

The staff is very nice and helpful also, the food is extraordinary. We've recieved the order in a reasonable time. There is place arranged for kids to play as well. A friendly neighbourhood pub. I recommend to visit it in every part of the day or the week. We're all very satisfied with The Stirrup Cup. It's a lovely place where you can go to relax when there are not football matches.

This is like home from home. I was at a vets a few mins around the corner & had 4 hours to kill. I had travelled 60 miles to get there & asked if there was anywhere near by that I could get a coffee. I was directed to Stirrups. Arriving tired starving disorientated & quite stressed after a long drive in the snow with a very sick animal in the passengers seat. I ordered a fat fry up for breakfast which was amazing & a coffee which was superb. They even do Gluten free (I'm allergic just to extra awkward)

BUT WHAT STANDS OUT (apart from the food & spot on coffee) was the staff & service. Amber who was behind the bar was so so lovely not only offering top service but also asked about my animal at the vets, stopping for chat gave me WiFi password & offered such kindness & compassion that it genuinely made me feel so much better. The staff put the heating up for me & gave me a nice spot by a radiator as it was freezing which was so so nice of them. My only other option was a waiting room or the car for 4 hours not nice in 1 degrees!

Kindness is such a rarity in the world that we live in. Thankyou staff at Stirrups & especially Amber for you hospitality & kindness,...

It was a quick visit to the Stirrup cup to catch up with friends. The pub was buzzing with a busy atmosphere, there was an England game on the TV which probably added to the numbers. There is a great selection of drinks, however they are a bit more pricey than the local average. The staff are very friendly. The food looked excellent but as I did not order food I’m unable to offer an opinion but I think it’s worth another visit. Overall this is a lively interesting place with a good atmosphere and it’s...

Quite a lovely establishment full of activities and entertainment. Pool tables, darts, skittles, beer garden with bouncy castle, sports broadcasts, and more besides. There's a food menu too including breakfast... Ample free parking is available and there's wheelchair access. Dogs are only welcome in the bar and not the coffee lounge apparently; which cost them a star because Sally is an Assistance Dog 🐕 and not a pet dog, and to exclude an Assistance Dog is...
