If you have any allergies or any food intolerances, please be aware, the kitchen know NOTHING about cross contamination risk.

I have coeliacs disease and my body internally attacks the stomach lining and all the vili and my gut, if I pass any gluten through it. Thus making me very ill and alot of toilet time!

I ordered from the Gluten Free menu, and advised the waitress I am coeliac, where she also wrote down on the order tab with my meal choice. The kitchen had been made aware that my meal had to be prepared gluten free, however this was not the case. It would appear they chose to ignore this, and have not been trained on the big impact a small tiny mistake can make! I got part way through only to find a piece of macaroni pasta amongst my meal.

I sent this meal back, waited for maybe a manager, or chef to come over to apologise, but there was nothing.

They have a good gluten free menu, however, it has put all trust in the pub to a completely new level. Not only that, shows the management can't be bothered to address this to the customer with an apology of the mistake.

VERY...

2 of us went to stocks for 1st time tonight .So not impressed Starters came out same time as i got drinks and were bland ,Barman went off to change barrel whilst i stood there waiting to order drinks obviously to save doing it later as i wasnt waiting for beer or lager and there was no one else. The chips were luke warm and tasted as though just reheated.Macoroni cheese awful and made with pasta shells ??.we were sat outside and told to go to bar to order food . THEN table of 7 sat outside sat there looking at menus then girl came out and took their order at table when i went to pay i ? This and she said in a so what manner they were regulars well she only knew 2 of them that was quite obvious. I dont care if they were regulars you dont treat customers different giving preferential treatment. When i confronted her and said about food not good and order being taken fron others it was oh well attitude Hence wont return and will...

Visited with family party of 9 ppl including 1 wheelchair user and 1 infant. Much appreciated that they were able to take our large party booking which was last minute following a family function the day before, especially in the lead up to Xmas on a Saturday. Menu was basic pub grub with plenty enough choice but good quality, hot and food was good. I had chicken curry which was lovely and others enjoyed the lasagna and fish and chips. Portions generous. Service decent and our food came in a timely enough fashion and simultaneously. There was a service charge but would say prices were pretty average and decent enough value for money. Easy to park. My father is a wheelchair user and the ramps, doorways, toilet etc worked well for him despite it being an older building with plenty of character. There were also baby change facilities in the disabled loo.Quite old fashioned decor but kind of part of the charm of a traditional...

Since the Stocks won local pub of the year it only felt right to give it a go. Jules and I left it a bit late to get a table, but when we called they said they could find room for us. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a smile and shown to our table. Service was fab throughout from everyone The menu offers traditional pub favourites. We went for chicken tikka and lasagne. The food came really quickly and tasted incredible. It was undoubtedly home made. The lasagne was another level to be fair. The best I've ever had from a pub. Portions are also a great size. Only got a picture of the cheese cake as we tucked straight into the mains. To top it off they offer 10% off all drinks and food for a year when you buy a £20 reward card. It will pay for itself in 4 visits. Going on how impressed we were this will be October. Well done stocks crew. 5 stars all round.

Very disappointed with the liver and bacon main course. The liver was only partially edible on account of the number of veins or 'rubber bands' as we called them at school. I believe this was a pigs liver which is probably a cheaper liver variant. I suggest the chef switches to a better liver such as calves. On another note why do we need big brother watching us while we eat? I really don't like this trend of cameras fixed to internal walls. What is the publican worried about? That we might do a runner or nick the cutlery?!

Very nice outside seating area at this restaurant, easy drive to get there and lots of quality parking. Inside was kind of vintage and old styled but very nice. Service and staff were amazing and very kind! Bar also looked very cosy for the locals! Would defo go back for drinks. Only recommendation is add some sauce to the burger!! Or an option!! Ideally some burger sauce but Mayo or ketchup works great! Patty was a very decent size and cheese was delicious - think it was sourced locally. Onion rings were also amazing!!
