Somewhere I would try to stop at again, Maybe flying back from Luton Airport, if timings were right. A great little local boozer, brilliant real ales, I think there was a choice of 5! The locals seemed very friendly, well maybe they were laughing at my transport. The buffet food I had there during my mates wake was very good. I bet they do a great cheese and onion sandwich.

Brilliant little pub, friendly staff and a very nice lunch, one way system in place tables set out for distancing and all the staff wore masks, great selection of real ales well kept and changed every 144 pints (according to the boss) love this place, well worth a visit.

Food is only at lunchtimes. Good traditional pub food. Service is fab. Booking advised as there’s limited room. Felt really welcomed.

Probably the tastiest pub lunch (at the Stone Jug) that I can remember. The chef is in a class of their own. The chef prepared a salmon main course as well as the cheese cake dessert by hand. The meal was outstanding. The staff were very helpful to squeeze 2 of us in consideration we did not have a reservation. The atmosphere is nice and cosy.

I would highly recommend the Stone Jug. It is best to make reservations.

The salmon main course consisted of: Pan fried salmon New potatoes Mixed vegetables White wine, cream and prawn sauce.

The only drawback is slightly limited parking IMO

I definitely plan to visit again especially if the same...

Oh my word, what a beautiful meal I had today. Belly pork, ( decent bit of crackling) mash , with Savoy cabbage, thinly sliced ribbons of carrot, garden peas & leeks in a cider cream & shallot sauce. When asked if I wanted a pudding I said If I had room I’d have the belly pork again but as I haven’t I’ll settle for the Bread & butter pudding with cream which was excellent!!! I am from the West Country & travel every 6 weeks to the area with my Wife who is from Stopsley. We were advised to try the food at The Stone Jug & having done so we will again without question. Excellent. Thank you all at ...

Whilst on a visit to the area, we found this gem of a pub in CAMRAs Good Beer Guide. We arrived lunchtime and it was very busy with food but the friendly, attentive landlord managed to accommodate us. We sat outside in the marquee but at no point did we feel isolated, he checked on us regularly, even bringing our dog some biscuits. The food was good and the beer excellently kept. Great pub and staff, excellent customer service and very dog friendly; next time we’re in the area we will definitely be...
