What can I say... everything that could have gone wrong, certainly went wrong.
My friends and I went camping in the local area last weekend and came here to eat for our evening meal. It was our first night so had no other food bought.
We arrived 7pm Friday, did not have our orders taken until 9pm and food not served until 10pm! When we arrived, we went to the bar and and asked 5 times(!) over the course of the 2 hours, how to order and were repeatedly told somebody would come to our table. The waitress outside was serving every other table outside with food and drinks, but chose to ignore our table despite trying to catch her attention.
On the 6th attempt, one of the staff finally agreed to take our order at 9pm (when kitchen was due to close) and told us we would be placed as priority given the poor service. After ordering, we then watched everybody else in the pub receive their food and leave, before we finally got served. When the food did come, the presentation and quality was pathetic, particularly the burgers. We misread the description of the fish and chips on the menu (grilled not battered) and asked if it could be checked in the kitchen. They took the food and then returned refusing to serve us anything, as it had been on the hot plate too long and now unsafe to eat.
At now 10pm, nowhere near any shops or restaurants, we were starving and had no other food to eat. After asking multiple times, they gave us a few dishes that were safe to eat. In the end, we asked for compensation and only got the prices of a couple of dishes knocked off.
It's safe to say we will not be back, and I would encourage others to stay away from this place as well.
I understand it was busy and mistakes do get made, but they could have told us it was too busy for us to eat there when we arrived and we could have gone else where, rather than making us wait hours. Truly the worst experience i've ever had at...

She phoned the pub and they said they would return them at a charge of £10. She transferred this money to them.||Not long after submitting my review I was emailed by Anton Flaherty (presumably owner/manager) advising me that because of my "uncharitable review" they would now not be returning my daughter's earrings and refunding the £10 to her. ||He was unhappy that I had said the veggie breakfast was a bit meagre and the "continental breakfast" consisted of 3 small frozen pastries. I also said it was expensive for 1 night which he didn't like. He signed off his long email "yours not sincerely Anton Flaherty"!||I replied asking Anton if he was seriously keeping my daughters earrings because he didn't like my review. He said he wasn't keeping them but we had to make our own arrangements for their return e.g courier (we live in Scotland ). Emails went back and forth and when I told him how upset my daughter was about losing her earrings ( which were of sentimental value) , he told me I was the architect of my daughter's distress! I had to ask him 3 times to stop contacting me. I was unable to block him as he was emailing through some 3rd party email address.||My daughter decided to personally phone him as she too was disgusted by his behaviour and requested he send her earrings back. He was extremely rude to her and told her I was "tight, Scottish, and a b*h". He then hung up on her.||Unbelievably rude, intimidating behaviour...
