I was recommended by a local farmer to try out the pie. So glad that I did, after a hard day, I called in for my tea. A very welcoming and informed member of staff was there to greet me at the bar, she advised on menu choices and served me with a smile. When my meal arrived the other lady who brought it out was also welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Needless to say the meal was gorgeous, very tasty and the desert was a superb way to top it off. I will be visiting again hopefully soon.

We visited here twice whilst staying at the Willenhall Way caravan site. It is a great pub with a good selection of beers and was very popular with the locals who were welcoming and friendly. It has a terrific beer garden and large car park. The staff were really polite and helpful. The food looked fantastic but unfortunately we only sampled a portion of chips but they were very good. It is also dog friendly. Overall a great local pub

Very helpful and friendly staff. The bar guy helped to choose an ale by describing the tastes and also gave samples to help choose. Great choice of drinks. The food was brilliant, really tasty and well cooked. Great selection to choose from at reasonable prices. Lots of tables for eating and seats/tables for drinks. Definitely recommend stopping for something to eat/drink, really good atmosphere and made to feel welcome.

Avoid at all costs. While away for the weekend to visit my parents in Ellesmere I had the misfortune of visiting the pub. Your first experience will be the heavy smell of urine and disinfectant in the hallway entrance. Once inside the pub seems nice enough on the surface. Firstly the table we had booked for 6 was in a walkway, so we asked to move which was met with laughter by the staff and their mates who were around the bar. Once seated we looked through the menu, settled on our choices and ordered at the bar. Starters arrived, 2 out of the 3 duck rolls we ordered we basically empty. 1 had no duck at all in it and the other had less than a mouthful, the third was as we would have expected. Note that the portion was a single duck roll for £7, a starter should be small but it should also contain enough food to feel like you got your monies worth. My eldest son chose nachos as his starter, there was no mention of spice but they were really hot, not just spicy but properly hot. Luckily some of us like spice so it wasn't wasted but he didn't get a proper starter. The main course was even worse, I ordered the mixed grill and the chicken was dry, gammon was so salty it was almost inedible and the sausages we frankly disgusting. My sons burger had relish and onion over the burger and bun, despite asking for it to be plain. When we complained we were told the sausages were locally sourced and if we had said something sooner they would have got him another burger, the fact he had decided to eat his chips first meant we had all finished so for him to get a meal remade would cause the rest of the table to sit and watch him eat. Only when we pushed did the 'manager' say she would take the burger off the bill but nothing else was offered. My dad had sausage and mash, the sausages had no taste, they looked like the cheapest of sausages you can buy. When I paid the bill and again complained to the 'manager' she said if we had bought things up sooner they would have had chance to fix them. I said we would never go there again and she said that was fine with her! My recommendation is to avoid this pub at all costs, it was expensive and very poor quality, not to mention the rude staff, the worst kind of...

Excellent B&B in comfortable ensuite accommodation. Despite overlooking the road and being above the bar the room was quiet and we slept extremely well. In addition to the bedroom door lock the 3 accommodation rooms are secured by another door with a key code entry pad. Free car parking is provided in the Inn's private car park. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was simply amazing, fruit juices, cereals, yogurt, fruit and a full individually prepared cooked English breakfast followed by toast and preserves. Tea and coffee also included. The cooked English breakfast was outstandingly good with gluten free and vegetarian diets catered for. Without a doubt this was one of the best breakfasts I've enjoyed for many years. Overall an excellent stay that was so good I've already...

The food here really is exceptionally good (as in, if nobody else was looking I would've been tempted to lick the plate!). Portion size is generous and they do offer smaller portions too, this was good as we had a elderly relative with us, so this choice was very welcome. It took a little while to arrive - but it is reassuring to know that it is therefore being properly cooked especially for you. They could've timed things a little better as one of our party had a full 5 minute wait for his food to arrive after everybody else had theirs (hence the 4 stars). I would heartily recommend eating here. The range of beers in the bar is also good. It is warm and welcoming with a lovely fire burning to keep you feeling cosy. Plenty of parking available makes this an easy venue...
