Called in for lunch. Warmly greeted and found a traditional pub with character and friendly staff.I had tge steak and ale pie. Delicious. The veg. too. Superb. The gluten free menu is excellent. Both my wife and the landlords wife are coeliac so we can recommend eating here in safety and comfort. A good range of ale etc at the bar. All round great service and value.

Stopped here today after a day out hicking at Ebbor Gorge and what a pleasant experience! I had an absolutely delicious cottage pie, the staff was lovely and welcoming and the overall atmosphere very warm and relaxed. Will happily be back!

Wonderful! Nice to see a pub still lovingly attended by it's owners. Great food (steak and Ale pie and Sunday roast) and nice local cask beers. Well done!

Dishes can vary in value depending what you order. Wife had prawn salad which was good value I had steak and ale pie which was not great because it was not a real pie, with sides and bottom, but the sort you had at school 45 years ago when I went. Stew in a pan covered with pastry. The gravey it was cooked in was likely thickened with gravy granuals and a little over thick. Tasted ok but a little basic. Veg was over cooked for me but that's my taste others might like that. Portion size was good for the price. Overall value was fair. Pub is cosy, well laid out, in nice location and staff as good as you get. Hence overall experience 4 star. Eating out is expensive now so corners are being cut to keep costs down. That raises the relative quality of home cooking which is better than 80%...

I visited the Waldegrave Arms on a off chance after a walk, a busy Sunday with roasts clearly being the main dish of the day. Despite this the friendliest of staff accommodated our party and made sure we were welcomed into the restaurant. The decoration has a traditional feel about it, the tables are a little tightly squeezed in but the service is prompt and there are plenty of staff on hand if required. There is a acceptable selection of drinks and the food more than exceeded my expectations, portions are of a good size and quality. All our food come across with that homemade feel and that it has been prepared just for you. If I am in the area again I will definitely visit...

I Ordered the beef roast, the beef was terrible, it tasted like processed beef, the rest of the food was ok, I made a complaint about it afterwards but they said they were sorry about that but still charged me the full amount , I was very disappointed about it, I won't be going again, The beef repeated on me for several hours after.

Update.

Never the less what you claim about your beef, it tasted terrible, if it was fresh cooked good quality beef this would be a different review. It strikes me that you just interested in profits not customer satisfaction, reduced cost for the poor quality beef would have helped, it made...
