The White Swan Inn — Restaurant in England

We visited the White Swan while we were staying in the village and I was surprised that places like the White Swan still existed. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel so welcome and comfortable as if we had known the staff and owners for years. The pub itself was full of charm and felt so cosy and warm with help from the roaring fire that kept us warm all through are meal. It was immaculately clean and a lovely atmosphere to be in. We were there to celebrate my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and they couldn’t of made a nicer time for us they had so kindly decorated a table with banners and lovely anniversary decorations and then made my grandparents feel very special congratulating them. The home cooked food was beyond beautiful it tasted amazing and big sized portions we even got asked if we wanted more! Booked 10 days in advance. The White Swan confirmed our booking and asked if we had any allergies. Arrived and they had no record of our booking. They said we could still have a table. Was led past the restaurant tables and were put in another room and put at a table squashed against the two other diners.The room contained a bucket, bottle of bleach and various boxes. Not a very nice dining experience. Although they only serve food on Friday and Saturday nights, at 7pm on the Friday there was no fish and chips left. Supported this pub quite regularly, then one say I bought a voucher for my friend £40. They dated it for 3 months , when they went to use it 2 months later they were told they didn't do food anymore and suggested they use it on one of their special food nights. ( this would take the voucher out of date) but they were told that they would still honour it. Unfortunately my friend was ill that night so gave the vouched back to me , who purchased it on the first place.
