The Who'd a Thought it Pub certainly lives up to it's name as I certainly didn't expect that I'd of been walking into my new favourite Pub for the first time.

Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere are complemented by a mix of modern and traditional pub styling to create a feeling of being in your home away from home.

This is all further complemented by a pleasant selection of Ales to choose from catering to a range of tastes.

To call the food pub grub would be seriously doing it a disservice. While you have a full range of traditional pub favourites, it's a wonderfully prepared to a standard I'd expect from a more focused restaurant setting and was absolutely delicious. I myself had the Brie and Bacon Sandwich which was served with fries and coleslaw and I enjoyed every bite. For desert I followed this up with the Brownie served with honeycomb and Ice cream which was possibly one of if not the best brownies I've ever had.

I came away from The Who'd A Thought It looking forward to my next opportunity to visit for the wonderful staff, the great beer and the amazing food.

Who'd a thought this little pub would have so...

This is a follow up review to my one below after yet another outstanding experience... If you've not visited Bard and his family then you're missing out... Who'd a Thought is the best venue and we're just saddened we don't liver closer or we'd probably eat here more regularly.. you are welcomed as if one of the family, great menu choices and superb service. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in Londons Knightbridge with the quality of the food. We can't rate this pub high enough so go see for yourselves !

Who'd A Thought, take a bow for outstanding service, exquisite food and loving our Boxer boy George! We're the sort of eaters with often unrealistic expectations and often just come away from eating out disappointed with 'something' but not here. On this occasion we just wanted dog friendly but got much more.. George would have stayed forever so take your 4 legged family members here while you dine on probably the best pub food we've ever had. Congratulations to them for surviving the most horrendous 18mnths and to the chef and bar staff for giving us a perfect...

Had a superb lunch while catching up with friends on a wet Monday lunchtime in early October. Excellent 6X and a great menu with certain dishes recommended by the landlord. We took one of his recommendations of the Thai Curry. The choices were fish or chicken and I have to personally say that the Fish Curry was excellent. Nicely spiced and served on basmati rice with a naan bread. Portion sizes were great. The other choice made was the rib-eye steak served on a bed of mushrooms with vine tomatoes and an bowl of chips. The steak was so tender that you didn't need a steak knife. Definitely worthy of a 10/10. They also offer a nice selection of desserts but we were all too full to take advantage. The pub is also very attractive and comfortable and although it was quiet at 1.30 on a Monday, it certainly didn't lack atmosphere. A nice touch is a selection of books for sale to raise funds for charity. Will definitely be back for...

Ever-so-slightly disappointing. We had high hopes after we heard it had undergone a large refurbishment in 2017. The decor and style is a mix of modern and traditional country pub, and it works well. There’s also a really great play area at the back for kids. The down side was it was understaffed (we were there at lunchtime on a weekday, but one front-of-kitchen staff wasn’t enough). There was also no ale on draft because of a pump issue, which was a real downer. The final issue was the menu didn’t match what was available in the kitchen. We had to change our orders a few times. On the plus side, the food which we ended up with was generously portioned and well prepared, plus the one staff member was super friendly and helpful despite being rushed. Maybe worth another visit.

We stop here without booking on sunny Sunday. The place was full and fully booked but we agreed to wait for a table (if is full there is a reason!). We've got the table in about 20 minutes. Ordered Sunday roast, one vegan and one beef. The vegan one unfortunately was sold out so they offered a substitution of vegan sausages. A bit disappointed but without booking can expect to find everything. However the vegetables were amazing as the gravy. My partner loved the roast beef. The roasted parsnips were to die for. Definitely coming back (with booking) to try the vegan roast! The service was excellent even though they were short staff. Great places for a Sunday roast and if is sunny you can eat in the lovely garden.
