The Windmill Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in England

Arrived, went to ask the ladies at the front desk about a takeaway carvery, was told I have to book a takeaway carvery as they order in the food for the specific amount of diners. Never ever been to a carvery that offers takeaway where you have to book, I get booking a table, but I just wanted to grab some food on my way home from a dog walk and use my own plates and cutlery at home. Won't go here again.

Setting is very odd, restaurant is upstairs, entrance is hard to find. when you hit the bins, you have gone too far. Real shame as I like to support local business, but silly practices like this...

Disappointed in the carvery, booked a family Birthday carvery and told on the phone we have a family member who is vegan, was no vegan carvery available, told us they was no mention off this when we booked, we have it in the confirmation they sent us through email that they was to accommodate for a vegan! Told us they would cook something up which would off took too long, our vegan member ended up with just a plate off vegetables, there was no vegan dessert available, so disappointed, no offer off a refund from staff, definitely would not...

We went there because it was the most convenient location to meet friends off the M5 near Burnham on sea. I don't often write reviews but in this case I just had to. We ordered food and all I can say is WOW! The menu had something for everyone and when the food came it was absolutely fabulous! The prices were extremely good and everyone at our table of 4 was really impressed on the quantity, presentation and taste of the food.
