I am astonished on how this establishment gets so much praise. I went to Parkwood today to treat my husband to breakfast. Upon arrival, I was greeted by one of your workers who couldn’t care less that there was a customer waiting to be served. He finally came to take my order and made me and my husband a coffee that was warm and overpriced. Once sat down, I could see plates piled up on the side needing to be washed up. I would have understood if your staff were busy, but they weren’t. The food took around 30 minutes to come and once given, my husbands pancakes weren’t cooked fully. My brother recommended this cafe for my Mum's birthday as he lives nearby and loves their brunches. My Dad is very poorly with a low immune system and my brother explained this to the staff when making a booking. On arrival they went out of their way to help us, having reserved a comfy table in a quiet corner, safely away from other customers and they also helped him by bringing the card machine to the table at the end. The service was very good, plenty of good choices on the menu and the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Visited this cafe after a recommendation from a friend who visits the gym. Only one member of staff serving drinks and food which meant the queue was long but the friendliness could not be faulted by the server. The ambience is great with a pleasant atmosphere and subtle music. Excellent hot coffee that rivals large brand coffee shops.
