Food was lovely and reasonable you get loads to so couldn’t finish it all the starters looked good but I didn’t have one, the staff were friendly and service was good

My only gripe which maybe will stop me going back is the manager today was terrible her attitude was awful and did not smile once, she was rude by telling us to move while she cleared around us and was rude to her staff cornering one member of staff close while she was serving and trying to hand her a plate while she already had two plates in her hands and also very little space to get round alls the manager had to do was be patient and wait, it’s as though she did not want our service and we had around 22 people there who all had two courses and drinks.

This caused a terrible atmosphere in the pub with her bad attitude and no one left a tip because of this as we did not know of the staff would get to see it with her attitude toward them.

The manager was not welcoming did not great us in and moved us into a corner when she agreed to have our party in the conservatory I did not see her engaging with any customers instead dictating to staff to get things sorted.

I would like to make it clear that the other staff were lovely and the food was nice the chef did come out as he knew someone in the party and appeared very kind and nice. The prices...

Just left the pub for the first time and very disappointed. My husband had the fish goujons and chips which were lovely, I ordered a fillet steak. When it came I couldn't chew parts of the meat due to fat and gristle. When I was asked if it was OK I said I was disappointed with the amount of fat on a fillet. I was told she would tell the chef. When we came to pay £57.25 I was asked again if everything was OK and I re-iterated that I was unhappy with the steak and the evidence was on the plate with the amount of meat sent back. If only I had taken a photo. The waitress looked at the owner who said there is no fat on a fillet, which I am well aware of and why I always order one. She told the waitress to speak to the chef and she came back and said he was a butcher and that he said it was OK. The really disappointing thing here was the whole attitude which effectively called me a liar despite the evidence being on the plate. Finally I got an apology from the waitress, not the owner. I would never go back there again because of the whole attitude from the owners. Whatever happened to customer service. Do they really have so many customers they can afford to treat one like this and turn away future custom? They have certainly lost me as a possible returning customer and I will make sure everyone knows how I...

Out for Sunday lunch today so thought we’d try the Three Horseshoes at Maiden Law as I’ve been quite a bit recently and thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve had. But today the offering was nothing short of grim. Lukewarm vegetables piled on top of one another on a plate that was too small for the amount of food piled on it. The veg offering consisted of spoon of mashed turnip and a few mushy peas a sad little heap of over boiled grey looking cabbage. This was accompanied by a too large pile of small rock hard whole carrots that were so undercooked you couldn’t cut them with your knife. Mash was nice enough but we didn’t need 5 “roast’ potatoes and a lump of hard parsnip chucked on the plate too. Wouldn’t have been so bad if they were nice crispy roasties but they tasted more baked than roasted and were soft and soggy so I suspect they’d been cooked earlier and reheated. The lamb and Yorkshire pudding were good. At £17.95 it was very disappointing. When I complained at the till the manageress responded with, “our carrots are hard and our portions are big”. Ok …. 🤔. I go there quite regularly and I’ve had really tasty food there recently but I absolutely cannot recommend the...

Decided to go here for a late lunch, first visit for a while. As always a nice warm welcome and the food was great as usual, only negative was the lady taking orders had a problem with listening, I requested no ice in my drink and it came with ice. Also had to repeat our mains order multiple times to ensure we got what we asked for and the same when we ordered desserts, they had been busy earlier but not while we were there. The most irritating thing was another table were asked multiple times if everything was OK, but the only time we were asked was once during our desserts. But we will be returning, because as said previously the food is outstanding. Point to mention is that unless you are a really big eater don't plan to go for 3 courses unless you want to leave some, or you won't manage to eat your dessert the portions are generous on all servings.

We popped in to the Three Horse Shoes Inn for a quick lunch, it was our first visit, there were several areas of seating for lunch we were going to sit outside as it was a sunny day, however they was loads of flying insects around so we sat inside, the staff were very helpful and we quickly ordered, there is a good selection on the menu, our food arrived in reasonable time, it was plentiful and well cooked, the staff constantly cheched we were ok, I would say the prices are about mid range but good value, we will certainly try it again

This is a fantastic pub we go regularly it is pet friendly so that is a bonus as we have a little black pug she goes all over the place with us. The staff are very friendly professional and attentive. The food is good value and great portions. I can highly recommend the combo meal of half Rack of ribs and a 5 Oz rump steak the rack of ribs has BBQ sauce on it they are cooked to perfection I have had this meal on the last two visits. I also prefer the home made chunky chips rather than fries they are also lovely.
