I recently had the pleasure of indulging in one of the most exceptional Sunday roasts I've ever tasted at The Tiger's Head. From the moment my plate arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The star of the show was undoubtedly the meat, which was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Yorkshire pudding was light, airy, and had a lovely golden-brown crust. The vegetables were equally impressive. The broccoli and cauliflower cheese was creamy and comforting, while the roasted carrots and parsnips were sweet and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy, although I would have liked a slightly larger portion. Overall, my Sunday roast at The Tiger's Head was an absolute delight. If you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience, I highly recommend giving this place a try. My recent visit to The Tiger's Head was truly exceptional. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a delightful experience. The restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Whether you're looking for a casual meal with friends or a special occasion, The Tiger's Head is definitely...
Read moreWe booked a table for a Friday night for 5 people. The weather was sunny so the outside seating area got quite busy around 18:30. We decided to have a few drinks outside and then go inside for some food at around 19:00. As the place got busier the time waiting for service got longer and longer and at one point I had to go to the bar and ask to make our food order. The staff were great, very friendly but obviously under pressure. The menu was quite limited and I struggled to pick something I would really enjoy so I ended up with a pizza. There was no Peroni or St Miguel to drink so I plumbed for Estrella Damm as apposed to Fosters or Heineken that were on offer. I'd not tried this before but it was quite nice. Unfortunately when receiving the bill I realised it was £5.10 a pint! If I'd have known I wouldn't have ordered it. I understand pubs have had a hard time during lockdown but this is way over average premium beer prices. Unfortunately won't be going back to my local for...
Read moreWow and wow! Initially went to a nearby pub but their kitchen was closed which was very much to our advantage! This used to be a very tired dark old place but not any more. Kevin has waved his magic wand and viola! a modern airy pub with lovely staff and great food! We had salt and pepper calamari served with garlic mayo and mushroom toast both of which were devoured with relish and pronounced lush. Mains were lasagne and homemade chicken Kiev as I had not had it for years. Non of your orange coloured "breadcrumbs' but a lovely crunchy tasty coating with succulent chicken.... Could have done with more garlic butter for my liking but that didn't detract one bit. Service was excellent and if in the area again will definitely drop in. Highly recommend you to look for this place as it is a little off the...
